ALegend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomfan has recreated the floating Sky Islands inMinecraft.Tears of the Kingdomlaunched on the Nintendo Switch just two months ago, and it has alreadybecome one of the highest sellingZeldagamesof all time. While much of the spotlight surroundingTears of the Kingdomis centered around Link’s new crafting abilities and the many inspired creations they have spawned, the vast and varied open world of Hyrule itself remains one of the series’ primary draws.
This includes the mysterious Sky Islands, a series of floating landmarks that made their first appearance in 2011’sThe Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. They return inTears of the Kingdomwith a more fleshed-out backstory, which reveals that theSky Islands first appeared above Hyrulefollowing Ganondorf’s awakening and subsequent battle against Link and Princess Zelda. Much of the Zonai technology that Link uses throughoutTears of the Kingdomcomes from the Sky Islands, and players have come up with creative ways to reach these awe-inspiring structures using custom aircraft and the new Ascend ability.

Grazzy, a popular YouTube personality known for their impressiveMinecraftbuilds, recently paid tribute toTears of the Kingdom’s Sky Islands by recreating them in showing off the work in various subreddits like tearsofthekingdom via a series of screenshots. These screenshots show a massive and faithfully crafted version of the Sky Islands, complete with ancient structures, lush green forests, and a massive lake.
