While exploring Hyrule, oneLegend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomplayer attempts to make a short glide across a gap only to have things go hilariously wrong. As expected, Nintendo has a massive hit on its hands withThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomas it has already outpacedElden Ringand sold 10 million units in just 3 days time. Outside ofMario,The Legend of Zeldaremains one of Nintendo’s most popular franchises.

While building on the foundation placed by its predecessor,Tears of the Kingdomadds in plenty of new ways to interact with the game world including the newly added sky islands. However, whileBreath of the Wildintroduced creative ways to solve problems,Tears of the Kingdomhas fully embraced it by giving players to opportunity to craft custom solutionsusing new abilities like Fuse and Ultrahand. In a post on theLegend of Zelda: Tears of the KingdomsubReddit, a user named senna98 posted a short 20-second video of their Link attempting to glide across a small gap. As they approach the cliff, Link jumps off as normal and begins the glide to the other side though as he’s about to land, one of the falling rocks seen fromAonuma’sTears of the Kingdomgameplay demonstrationcomes crashing down on top of them and taking all of Link’s hearts.

Hilariously enough, senna98 had a fairy in a bottle, so before getting a Game Over screen, Link is revived just in time as he begins tumbling down the cliff. The timing is extra unfortunate as Link lands and takes enough fall damage to again lose every heart for a second time. This time, the Game Over screen does appear, leaving theLegend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomcommunity amused by senna98’s double misfortune. Some even recommended they buy a lottery ticket with how well-timed that death was.

While there are certainly those who enjoy using the creation tools to torment Koroks, there have seemingly been a non-stop wave of interesting player creations, many of which are designed to overcome some sort of challenge. From boats, hover gliders, and other transport style vehicles,Tears of the Kingdomplayers have also come up with ways to help tame horsesor build a mech to help clear out enemy camps.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomis available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
