It’s no secret that the Xbox Series X isone of the most uniquely shaped consolesto be released in recent years. With some likening it to a fridge, this particular Xbox is sometimes not very conducive to some gamer’s shelves. The dimensions of the console can make finding a perfect home for it fairly difficult if there isn’t the right amount of space in one’s home. However, one frustrated gamer recently took the initiative to verify their Series X would be able to live on their shelf, even if it was done by force.

The creative gamer known as DlxCrusader on Reddit shared a picture of their hack with the Xbox subreddit. After being unable to make their Series X fit into the shelf, DlxCrusader cut out a square space in the top of the shelf so the console could now be a perfect fit. With a desire to play countlessamazing games on the Xbox Series X, DlxCrusader wasn’t going to let a little bit of shelving stop them.
Although their efforts appear nifty at first, some in the comments were concerned for DlxCrusader’s console when thinking long-term. One commenter who goes by the Reddit name Eddie2Ham voiced their concerns about the possibility of someone laying their drink on the shelf and accidentally spilling it, causing the liquid to flow into the top of the console. Thankfully, DlxCrusader noticed this comment and made the effort to raise the bottom shelf in order to make the Series X stand taller than the rest of the shelf’s top. Thanks to that commenter, DlxCrusader can nowplay games on their Series Xworry-free.
