Blizzard’sWarcraftfranchise has easily been one of the most successful video game series in the history of the industry, withWorld of Warcraftstill standing as the pinnacle of what MMORPGs can be. However, the live-action representation of the series hasn’t exactly done quite as well as the digital versions, though a mock teaser by a fan imagines what star anyWorld of Warcraftfuturemovies should try to pick up.

Originally created by Graphic Designer Mustafa Kemal Sezeroğlu, who some may know online as Claymore, thisWorld of Warcraftteaser comes in the form of a poster that has since been passed around the community. With the original photo going up on the artist’s Behance account, the mock-up has since been posted to Reddit and Twitter, with fans and developers alike praising the concept.

The poster showsWarcraft’s most well known hero turned villain, Arthas the Lich King, as he might look if he were portrayed bySupermanandWitcheractor Henry Cavill. It would appear that the poster is made from taking a popular shot of the Lich King reaching his sword out towards the camera, but swapping out the normally helmeted head for a shot of Henry Cavill as the Geralt from Netflix’sWitcherseries. However, this is much more than simply superimposing one image over the other, as Claymore has skillfully fused the two images together to make sure that the actor’s head fits seamlessly in this new depiction of Arthas.

Considering how highly regardedArthas' storyline inWarcraftis, it wouldn’t be hard to believe that Blizzard could be interested in producing a live-action retelling of the fallen hero’s story. Of course, that doesn’t necessarily mean that Cavill will automatically be cast to play the character from this image alone, but the positive reactions from fans indicate that he would make for a popular choice. After the reception of the 2016Warcraftfilm, a new attempt at a live-action adaptation may be warranted, even if production studios may be hesitant to tread into that territory again.

Looking at the way Blizzard has been producing theWarcraftAfterlivesshorts, there does seem to be some intent by the company to continue attempting to spread the series into a multimedia experience. So it is entirely possible that if fans voice their desires to see a film or series like this, it could come to life. As for Cavill, the actor has certainly shown his abilities throughout his career, fromMan of Steel, toMission Impossible: Fallout, toThe Witcher, potentially making his casting as Arthas a fairly easy decision.
