Blizzard has announced the upcoming pre-expansion schedule forWorld of Warcraft: Dragonflight. The schedule includes when the pre-expansion patch will go live, and when and which expansion-specific features will be released before and after the release ofWorld of Warcraft: Dragonflight.The latest announcement comes just a few weeks afterBlizzard revealed theDragonflightexpansion release date, which is slated for November 28. The expansion brings a host of new features, including a new race, a new class, a new continent for players to explore, new dungeon and raid content to delve into, and a number of changes to both player talents and the loot reward systems.RELATED:World of Warcraft Allowing Cross-Faction Mob Tagging in DragonflightTheDragonflightpre-expansion schedule will split into two phases. Phase one begins on October 25, which corresponds toa previously leaked Dragonflight schedulefrom a Blizzard internal document. This phase will include the new player talent trees, various class changes, and the updated base UI for players to customize as they see fit. For at least the first week of phase one, players will have a timely opportunity to test the new talents and class updates, as the annual Hallows' End holiday is ongoing until November 1. While Hallows' End is active, players can take on the seasonal boss, fittingly called “The Headless Horseman,” for a chance at some event-exclusive rings and an exceptionally rare mount, the Horseman’s Steed.
Phase two in theDragonflightpre-expansion cycle comes on November 15, just three weeks later. In this phase, the Dracthyr Evoker will be available for players that have pre-purchasedDragonflight. The Evoker is a healer and spell caster class exclusive to the Dracthyr, as well as the only class that the new draconic race can be. Phase two also includes a limited-time event in which players can take on elemental bosses around the world map for some gear and cosmetic rewards. In a recent test run of the pre-expansion events on the Public Test Realms (PTR), players that logged into the PTR were given a small preview ofwhat rewards can be earned beforeDragonflightgoes live on November 28.
However, players will not have much time to earnrewards fromShadowlandsSeason 4, as some loot and mounts will be more difficult if not impossible to obtain onceDragonflightreleases.ShadowlandsSeason 4 officially ends on October 25, as well. The clock is ticking for players that want a shot at an exclusive player title or other rewards.
World of Warcraftis available now for PC.Dragonflightlaunches on November 28.
