Vincent Valentine was one of the most popular party members in the original game, and many fans are quite curious to know how they can unlock the character inFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirthboasts an impressive roster of playable characters, expanding quite significantly on the list that was playable inFinal Fantasy 7 Remake. For instance, while the likes of Cait Sith and Red XIII were only a part of the party inFinal Fantasy 7 Remake, fans got a chance toexperience their unique playstyles inFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth. That being said, one of the characters that fans are quite eager to know more about is Vincent.

Is Vincent Playable In FF7 Rebirth?
While many were expecting Vincent to be a part ofFinal Fantasy 7 Remake, fans were quite disappointedto see him missing in the game. For players who are looking for Vincent Valentine, inFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth, there is some good news and bad news. The good news is that he will join the player’s party eventually in the game,but the bad news is that he is not a playable character.
When Does Vincent Join The Party In FF7 Rebirth?
Players will only be able tounlock Vincent in Chapter 11- The Long Shadow of Shinra. To unlock him, you’ll need to head back to the Shinra Manor as part of the quest, the same place where things went south with Sephiroth inChapter 1 ofFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth. After a few difficult battles, Cloud, along with the rest of the party members, comes across a locked room that has Vincent’s coffin. It is interesting to note that this door was present in the first chapter as well, although it couldn’t be accessed back then.
After a brief interaction with Vincent, Cloud and his team members will proceed to the next area in the Shinra Manor, but that’s where players will have to fight Vincent. The fight isn’t going to be an ordinary one, as Vincent will be in his Galian beast form for the fight. While it is hands down one of thetoughest bosses in the game, players can capitalize on its weakness to fire to whittle down its HP pretty quickly.

While Cait Sith offers Vincent to join their party after he gets defeated, he refuses and heads back to his room. However,towards the end of the chapter, Vincent joins Cloud and his party as they leave for the Gold Saucer in Cid’s ship. Unlike the original game where he was an optional party member, Vincent automatically joins the party as part of the main campaign inFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth.While fans are disappointed with Vincent not being playable in the game, it is quite likely that the developers are saving it for the third installment, although that is still a while away.
