For their adaptation of the classic Frank Herbert novelDune, Warner Bros. is looking to ramp up the film’s marketing push in preparation for its release in October. Dune was recently delayed three weeks from October 1st to October 22nd, and it has also been announced that the film will make its world premiere at the 77th Venice Film Festival. Now, in addition to the imminent release of a new trailer, Warner Bros. has revealed a collection of new character posters that will giveDunefans a closer look at how the star-studded cast will appear as Herbert’s beloved characters.
Duneis a space operaconcerning a planet known as Arrakis, where Melange, a vital commodity for space travel, can be manufactured, with Arrakis being the only planet where the resource is available. The numerous members of the Atreides family act as stewards over the planet, which is predominantly composed of harsh desert terrain. The story then challenges the Atreides family as different groups within an interstellar empire vie for control of the planet and, by extension, Melange.
