E3 has been confirmed to return this year with an all-new digital format. With a lot of the biggest games companies already confirmed to be participating,Ubisofthas also said thatUbisoftForward will be present at E3 2021 as well.
Ubisoft Forward is the company’s format created in the absence of last year’s E3 to give detailed looks at upcoming titles and announce new ones like many games companies did to adapt to the lack of expos and events due to the pandemic. Last year’s two Ubisoft Forward events gave fans detailed looks atAssassin’s Creed Valhalla,Watch Dogs Legion, andImmortals: Fenyx Rising, so the events definitelyinclude Ubisoft’s biggest hitters.

The confirmation comes through a tweet from Ubisoft’s official Twitter that also revealed the stream will take place on June 12 at 12 PM PT. Little else is known about the event so far, but there are quite a few known Ubisoft titles in the works that fans can reasonably expect some news on.
One of the most likely to appear isRainbow Six: Parasiteas it has had multiple gameplay leaksin recent months and looks to be pretty far along in development. Other games known to be in development that could make an appearance includeSkull and Bones,Beyond Good and Evil 2, and evenFar Cry 6, althoughFar Crymay be unlikely as the game’s director recently stated that the company is not ready to show gameplay just yet.
Ubisoft also has many series that the company may announce new titles for. Perhaps the largest would beSplinter Cellas the series was once one of Ubisoft’s biggest titlesbut has been dormant for years. Another could be a newRaymantitle or more likely some information about the next entry in theAssassin’s Creedseries now thatAssassin’s Creed Valhallahas been out for a little while now and the rumors of next year’s entry have started swirling.
Regardless of what is shown, Ubisoft will doubtlessly have quite a bit to say to fans. It has not revealed much of its plans beyond this year besides theroadmaps for games likeGhost Recon BreakpointandWatch Dogs Legion. E3 2021 should be a big event this year as it looks to resolidify itself in the games industry after it had to cancel its event last year and makes the move to an online format. With all of the big companies taking part, it should bring a lot of announcements and it will be very exciting for fans to see what Ubisoft and other companies have to show.
