Upon release,Tiny Tina’s Wonderlandswas a big hit with fans of theBorderlandsfranchise. Since then, though, theTiny Tina’s Wonderlandscommunity has been quick to voice its disappointment with the game. While the campaign is strong, and the Chaos Chamber is a solid endgame mode, the lack of new story DLC has proven to be a massive negative in the eyes of fans.
While asecond Season Pass forTiny Tina’s Wonderlandscould solve this issue by adding in some proper expansions, this content would take a lot of time to craft. As such, Gearbox needs to deliver something a lot quicker, andBorderlands 3could be the perfect source of inspiration. In particular,Tiny Tina’s Wonderlandscould benefit from the release of some community challenges and special events.

Community Challenges and Events Could Bring Players Back To Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands
Borderlands 3’s post-launch supportreceived a lot of praise, and for good reason. Alongside some stellar paid expansions like Mad Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot, players received free content like Takedowns to keep them engaged. Major updates to Mayhem Mode were released, too, though it is the seasonal events and community challenges that were arguably the most beneficial.
Community challenges would take the least amount of effort to add toTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsright now, yet they would still give gamers a reason to play. These objectives tasked all players with contributing to a goal, such as completing 30,000 Proving Grounds Trials. Once the community completed the challenge, they would get access to a special Shift code that unlocked a unique head for theirVault Hunters. Usually, these cosmetics were themed around the challenge.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlandscould release challenges just like this, with the possibilities being easy to imagine. Players could be tasked with completing 20,000 random encounters inTiny Tina’s Wonderlands’ Overworld, unlocking a big head mode for the character creator once the goal is reached. Another option would see a Mushroom head unlocked for killing a certain number of Mushroom enemies. Given how many over-the-top foes there are to fight in the game, a lot of fun cosmetics could be added via Community Challenges.
Special events were even more exciting, as Bloody Harvest and Revenge of the Cartels gave players access to some additional areas and bosses to battle against. Players could collect special loot in these seasonal events, with bonus challenges available to grind through if gamers wanted even more cosmetics. Revenge of the Cartels provided hours of content for free, and a similar event forTiny Tina’s Wonderlandscould be just as appealing. New enemies could be introduced alongside a fresh fantasy-themed location, giving fans another story-focused quest to enjoy in the process. Many of therooms from the Mirrors of Mystery DLCcould be expanded into proper locations for an event if Gearbox was interested, with the bone-filled troll graveyards and the rainy docks seen in Glutton’s Gamble being perfect candidates.
With so many playersangry withTiny Tina’s Wonderlands’ paid content, winning fans back with some free updates seems like an ideal approach to take. Though some paid expansions would be nice to see eventually, focusing on getting new content in players’ hands immediately seems even more important. Currently, players have no reason to stick withTiny Tina’s Wonderlands, with many returning toBorderlands 2orBorderlands 3. Community challenges and special events could give players a reason to keep playing, though. With how quick the discussion about the game has turned negative, free content could be a smart way to sway the conversation back to the positive end of the spectrum.
