One particular scene in the trailer features what appears to be another trainer players will face off against. However, the person’s helmet features a logo based on what many are calling a new pocket monster, something that has yet to be seen in any of the previous games in the franchise. There’s still a lot of time left before this expansion is ready for release, though this could potentially be the start of a slow tease.
In fact, this isn’t the first time the logo has been seen. In the initial announcement trailer for the expansions, concept art for the explorer uniformswere also revealed for the player characters. The mysterious logo was also present on the helmet though with the cut cuts and moving camera, it wasn’t nearly as visible as it is in this latest gameplay trailer. Still, there’s always a chance this logo isn’t Pokemon related at all and is simply an interesting and unique design for the company behind these expeditions.
While getting to see new gameplay was no doubt a treat for fans of the series, the biggest piece of news for most players is theconfirmed release date for the first expansion. Towards the end of the trailer, its revealed that theIsle of Armorlaunches on June 17 which seems to indicate that the content remains on track. Rumors started appearing a few weeks back that the new content wouldn’t be arriving in June as scheduled, delayed due to the global pandemic forcing studios to work from home. Thankfully, that doesn’t appear to be the case for this content.
