The Quarryis a horror game with a lot of choices and quick-time events that can result in the permanent death of various characters. One such character fromThe Quarryis Emma, one of the nine Hackett Quarry summer camp counselors. Depending on player choices, she has playable segments in Chapters two, four, six, nine, and 10.
Emma can die in three different chapters: Chapters Four, Eight, and 10. In Chapter Four, she can even die in three different ways. She is also one of the few characters that can be infected with the curse. To save her,The Quarryplayers need to make certain choicesand make it through specific quick-time events.

Saving Emma In Chapter Four
In Chapter Four, Emma goes through a lot of choices and quick-time events as she is one-on-one with a werewolf. She will explore the tree house area and see there is a trapdoor and a bag.The Quarryplayers can choose between looking in the bag or trapdoor first.
To save Emma, players mustlook in the bag before opening the trapdoor. If the trapdoor is opened first, she will have her throat ripped out. Opening the bag will give her a taser she can use on the werewolf, which will save her life.

In the same werewolf showdown, Emma will interact with ziplines. The first time she does it, players need toaccomplish a quick time event so that she does not fall off. If the quick time event is failed, she will fall, and the werewolf will maul her to death.
Lastly, Emma can die from a fall. This can happen if she fails tojump and grab a zipline after reeling it in.
Avoiding Infection
Saving Emma and other characters later on in the game also involves Emma avoiding infection from the werewolf. To avoid getting bitten inChapter Four, players mustpush the cabinet while running to the trapdoorandsucceed in the quick time event to climb the ladder.
If she does not have fireworks when she runs from the hunters, she will be attacked by a werewolf and bitten on the leg. So be sure totake fireworks in Chapter Twoand grab them when Emma next sees them. She willuse the fireworks and scare the werewolf away in Chapter Six.
Saving Emma In Chapters Eight And Ten
If Emma dies in Chapter Eight, it is because she got infected in Chapter Four. She is discovered in the van by Kaitlyn, andEmma is a transformed into a werewolf.
Kaitlyn can shoot Emma with a silver bullet to save her and the lives of other characters with her. To avoid this death,make sure Emma does not get infected in Chapter Four.
The last way Emma can die is in Chapter 10 ifJacob is infected and reunites with her. Avoid this bynot letting Jacob get infected in Chapter Six. In Chapter Six, he needs to successfully dodge a quick time event to avoid a neck bite.
