Fans have eagerly awaitedThe Elder Scrolls 6for over a decade, and it seems that it is still a few years away. Despite it still being far off and with few details being provided aside from the teaser trailer, fans still continue to speculate as what the game might include. It is likely that many of the stories found inThe Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrimwill continue in the next installment.
But after nearly 11 years of speculation, it’d be disingenuous to say that fans haven’t found much that could pertain toThe Elder Scrolls 6. After all, all the time spent sleuthing around was bound to reveal something. And that something may just so happen to be a valid prediction of the main plot forThe Elder Scrolls 6.

The Elder Scrolls' History of Prediction
This would not be the first time that the plot of a futureThe Elder Scrollsgame would be spoiled by its predecessor. It has actually happened multiple times, most notably inThe Elder Scrolls 3: MorrowindandThe Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. InMorrowind, an NPC named Eno Romari directly predicts that the Daedra will invade Tamriel, which is a nod toOblivion’s main plot. InOblivion, a Blades faction member named Cyrus claims that they will bide their time “until the next Dragonborn arises.” While more subtle than theMorrowindprediction, it still serves the same purpose by predicting the rise of the Dragonborn inSkyrim. For that reason, it is very likely thatSkyrimcontinued this trend in predictingThe Elder Scrolls 6’s next antagonist.
In the three most recent mainline installments toThe Elder Scrollsfranchise, there has been a book called “Mysterious Akavir.” While the author is unknown, it provides details aboutThe Elder Scrolls’Akavir continent, a place that has yet to be shown in any game. It details many of the races found on the continent, such as the Tsaesci, who are known for coming to Tamriel in search of a Dragonborn and later becoming the Blades. There’s even a race of monkey people named the Tang Mo, which may have some relation to Tamriel’s Imga race. However, the race that possesses the largest threat to Tamriel are the Ka Po’Tun, who belong to the “Tiger-Dragon Empire.”
Despite the inclusion of “dragon” in the name of their empire, they possess no actual dragons, as they have been all wiped out on Akavir according to Mysterious Akavir. In fact, the Ka Po’Tun are just a race of tiger humanoids, somewhat similar to the khajiit. However, they’re led by an individual named Tosh Raka, who might as well be a dragon himself. Tosh Raka is the emperor of the Ka Po’Tun, and he is worshiped like a god for his ability to transform into a dragon. More importantly, he has sworn that once he gets rid of the Tsaesci in Akavir, he wants to invade the continent of Tamriel. This meansThe Elder Scrolls 6could see a new contientand an Akaviri invasion.
It would make a lot of sense forThe Elder Scrolls 6to involve Akavir, as Bethesda has seemingly wanted to do this sinceSkyrim.In a 2019 Pax East interview, Todd Howard claimed that one of the scrapped plots forSkyriminvolvedone ofThe Elder Scrolls' greatest emperorsnamed Uriel Septim the Fifth, who was thought to have died in Akavir. He would have brought dragons from Akavir to help retake his empire. It is likely this idea was revisited for the developmentThe Elder Scrolls 6, and possibly even be used.
This would also explain whyThe Elder Scrolls 6’s teaser trailer’s location has been difficult to identify. It may not even be in Tamriel itself, but in fact in Akavir. This would be a surprisingly interesting way to return to the franchise through a mainline game after over a decade.
