TheDragon Agefranchise by BioWare has had a variety of interesting classes throughout its various games. They have come with a variety of skills and interesting storylines, with the world being made up of all sorts of professions, some of the most interesting being assassins.

Players have been introduced to various assassins acrossDragon Age, with many of them being quite memorable, some assassins come from the interestingorganization of the Antivan Crows, while others have simply been given the subclass of Assassin, as seen inDragon Age: Inquisition. Therefore, these characters are by far the best assassins in the entirety of BioWare’sDragon Agefranchise.

Argent from the multiplayer mode of Dragon Age: Inquisition

5Argent

Raised To Be A Weapon

Dragon Age: Inquisitiononce had a multiplayer mode that allowed players to take on the role of other characters inDragon Age: Inquisitionand complete various missions. One ofthe interesting charactersplayers could control during this mode was Argent. Little is known about this rogue other than she was trained since birth to be a weapon that could be used by various nobles in Orlais. This made her perfect for bodyguard work or the occasional assassination, depending on who employed her.

Eventually, she becomes employed by the Inquisition, which fills her pockets with gold while encouraging her to put her skills to the test, which players get to try out for themselves in the multiplayer mode. From a gameplay point of view, she also has the subclass specialization of Assassin inDragon Age: Inquisition, making her the perfect option for lethal critical strikes and attacking from the shadows.

4Cole

A Compassionate Assassin

Argent isn’t the only character inDragon Age: Inquisitionthat has the subclass specialization of Assassin. Cole is a potential companion in the single-player of the third game in theDragon Agefranchise and proves his potential as an assassin well. He is quick with a blade and shows impressive skill while both in and out of combat, but what makes Cole such an interesting option is the fact that he isn’t actually a mortal man. Cole is a spirit of compassion that took pity once on a boy called Cole.

When that boy died, Cole became him and therefore kept many ofhis spirit abilities. This allows Cole to simply disappear and then reappear elsewhere, which leads to many occasions of the player trying to find him across Skyhold. His most impressive ability is how he can simply make people forget he ever existed. Although he could use these abilities to take lives, he instead uses them to help people and then acts like he was never there.

Tallis from Mark of the Assassin, covered in blood and crouching holding a dagger

3Tallis

An Imperfect Assassin

The Qunari are a species of people that believe every person is born to complete a set job or task by following the Qun. Individuals that aren’t Qunari, but converted are also found to fit into these roles too. Tallis was a slave that was capturedby the Qunariand had the chance of becoming ‘Tallis’, meaning to solve. This allowed her to then become a Ben-Hassrath, a secret police of assassins.

Players meet Tallis during theMark of the AssassinDLC inDragon Age 2and may use her as a temporary companion. During this time, players are able to see what the Qunari have taught this elf, though many of her higher-ranking Qunari believe she completes her tasks imperfectly. No matter what they believe, Tallis is still an effective assassin who easily proves why she was deemed a Tallis in the first place.

2Leliana

The Left-Hand Of The Divine

Players who have enjoyedDragon Agefrom the start will remember the appearance of Leliana from the first game, where she has the subclass of Bard. This is a profession in Orlais, that is known for its deception through skilled performance and manipulation, which makes people like Leliana perfect assassins. These skills Leliana gained only improved throughout the current three games in the franchise, as byDragon Age: Inquisition, she had earned her place as the Spymaster for the Inquisition as well as players learning she was the Left-Hand of the Divine.

The Left-Hand is known for dealing with all the secret sides ofthe Divine’s work, including assassinating people who wish to get in the way. 1Zevran Arainai

Once An Antivan Crow, Always An Assassin

Out of all the assassins players have met through BioWare’sDragon Agefranchise, one of the most loved and also one of the best has to be Zevran Arainai. Playersmeet this roguefrom Antiva during the first game in the franchise,Dragon Age Origins. Besides his touching suicide attempt at the hands of the Grey Wardens, before this moment in the story, Zevran was originally an Antivan Crow.

This is one of the most well-known assassination organizations in the entireDragon Agefranchise, even if players haven’t been able to meet the entire organization face-to-face. Zevran’s heart may no longer have been with the Antivan Crows, but that doesn’t stop him from proving himself to the Warden throughoutDragon Age Originsif the player allows him to live and recruits him as a companion. Zevran truly sets the standard for many other assassins mentioned inDragon Ageas the first one many players are likely to have met.
