According to the developer, the crashes were related to NPC characters utilizing the changing rooms atStardew Valley’s in-game island resort. ConcernedApe announced at the time that a hotfix was already in the works for the issue, revealing that the fix would be released within an hour of his announcement on Twitter. Players were advised to turn off the resort or wait for the patch, in order to not be met with an in-game crash before the hotfix went live.
