Pierremight not be the best person inStardew Valley, but he’s an extremely important vendor who helps players get started on their farm thanks to his evolving stock of seeds to plant. Befriending him is somewhat easy thanks to his predictable schedule, provided players have the right gifts to give and complete his quests.

Gift Guide

Though Pierre is a vendor inStardew Valley, he can be interacted with like any other villager and has his own schedule. Luckily, his schedule is one of the easiest. He will almost always, without failure, show up at his store to sell his wares. For an extra friendship boost, offer him a giftduringhis birthday, which is on Spring 26.

Loved Gifts

Pierre is extremely picky with his loved gifts, making him a surprisingly difficult villager to please. This balances out the fact that he’s relatively easy to find compared to other villagers due to his simple and repetitive schedule. These loved gifts willincrease his friendship by 80 points.

Liked Gifts

Pierre’s liked gifts are perhaps the easiest ones in the game to get. Considering thatStardew Valley’sfirst year begins in spring, players can start to increase their friendship with Pierre with the following foraged spring items right from the start. These will providea 45-point friendship increase.

Disliked & Hated Gifts

When trying to earn Pierre’s friendships, there is a set of gifts that players should absolutely avoid offering to him. These gifts will reduce the amount of friendship that players have with Pierre.

Quests

Likemost villagers inStardew Valley, there may come a day when Pierre will havea small fetch-quest for the player available at the Help Wanted board in Pelican Town. No matter what the item in question is, Pierre will always pay the player triple the item’s price in gold and his friendship will increase by 150 points.

Pierre’s Notice is a quest that begins on Spring 21. Players will receive a letter from the shopkeeper, who asks them to prepare themsome Sashimi(despite all fish being his hated gifts). This is relatively easy with just about any type of fish players have available. Pierre will pay 1,000 gold to the player, and their friendship will increase by one heart with him.

Friendship Perks

Pierre is actually one of the most useful villagers to befriend because he will send the player gold rather than food and items in the mail. Even after just one friendship point,Pierre has a chance of gifting the player 250 gold through the mail. This amount can increase, as well, soit’s possible to get rich quite fastwith a high enough friendship level with Pierre.

Pierre will also be the one to gift the playerthe Blueberry Tart recipe, after his 3-Heart Event. Sadly, he has one of the fewest Heart Events in the game, with only a 3-Heart and 6-Heart Event.
