The latest story trailer forStar Wars Jedi: Survivorwas released online earlier today, and features more of Cal’s struggles against the Empire and other enemies hunting him down. At one point, Cal is reunited withMerrin the Nightsister he once befriended inFallen Order. While hiding out in a cave, Merrin compares Cal’s powers to a campfire, – able to keep him warm, but they could burn everything he loves to ash if he’s not careful. She also appears in a brief gameplay segment, where it looks like she will be able to help Cal in battle by striking enemies with her new staff weapon and mystic powers.

As mentioned before, players were first introduced toMerrin inStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, when Cal and the crew of the Stinger Mantisjourneyed to the Nightsister homeworld of Dathomir in search of the lost remnants of the old Jedi Order. Believing that the Jedi were responsible for the destruction of her clan during the Clone Wars, Merrin initially attacked Cal, only to join him after the two bonded over their similar pasts. Merrin would prove to be a valuable ally due to her knowledge of the dark side of the Force, and many fans have even cosplayed as her in real life.

The recentStar Wars Jedi: Survivortrailer included many other interesting details about the upcoming title’s plot, with themysterious villain from the bacta tankranting about how the Jedi allowed the Empire to take control of the galaxy and Cal and his friends discussing their search for a sanctuary from the Imperials.
