3…And It Will Use The Same Unique Set Technology

The Mandalorianbroke technological milestones when it debuted an all-new device that could render a scene perfectly behind actors – so much so that it can be caught onfilm and appear realistic. It’s called “The Volume”, and viewers see it in every episode ofThe Mandalorian.

The Volume is a gigantic 20-foot high and 75-foot wide screen. It works with programmable lighting and other details to make a scene appear as realistic as possible without actually being there. Additionally, the actors can see the projection too, making it a lot nicer to work with than a greenscreen drape. This technology should also appear inObi-Wan Kenobi, providing the same sense of realism.
