As players progress throughSkyrim, they will find many useless or plot-specific items, and the Dwemer Gyro is one of them. Players can find several of these Dwemer artifacts throughoutSkyrim, in places ranging from Dwemer ruins to Shimmermist Grotto to Hrodulf’s House. However, there is little point in looking for them there. The price of these items is low, and they are helpful only once during the fourth quest in theDawnguardDLC storyline, if you are playing for the Dawnguard side.
During the quest “A New Order,” players will have to persuade Sorine Jurard to go to Fort Dawnguard, but she will not agree to go until she receives at least one Dwemer Gyro. Her bag of Gyros was stolen bylocal Mudcrabs, but fortunately, they didn’t go too far.
Where To Find the Dwemer Gyro in Skyrim
To find the Dwemer Gyros inSkyrim, players mustreach the fourth quest of the Dawnguard storylineand meet Sorine Jurard on the river bank. Players can find this NPC southwest of Deepwood Redoubt and southeast of Darkfall Cave. Take a walk along the coast, and you will quickly notice her at one of the river bends next to a small camp.
Players can talk to the Breton woman to find out that Mudcrabs stole her Dwemer Gyros. Only then can you go in search of them. The easiest way is to immediately go down closer to the river, passing by a tree grown into a stone, and pick up that stolen bag with 7 Dwemer Gyros. It seems that the crabs did not find this item tasty or interesting, so they did not take it too far.
Once you have the bag, or seven Dwemer Gyros from another source, talk to Sorine and give her 1 of them, after which she will head to Fort Dawnguard as required by the quest. As for any remaining Dwemer Gyros, you may sell them, as you won’t ever need more.
It’s worth noting that you may find Dwemer Gyros in other locations even before you meet Sorine Jurard. However, holding onto them doesn’t make sense, since you can find the ones that the NPC lost just a few feet away. Alternatively, you can convince Sorine togo to Fort Dawnguardwithout retrieving her gyros. However,this way requires a Speech skill of 50+, so some players may find it easier to give her what she asks for.
