PlayStation 4 dashboard themes are a great way for PS4 owners to customize their experience, with a wide variety of themes available for the console. Oftentimes fans can get these PS4 themes for free as bonuses, which is the case with theResident Evil 3remake PS4 theme, available now for those that pre-order the upcoming survival-horror game.
TheResident Evil 3remake PS4 theme adds the game’s box art to the background, but it also makes some other changes as well. This includes changing the icons on the dashboard to have a grittier look, as well as changing the sound effects to sound the same as scrolling through items in aResident Evilinventory screen. A video showing theResident Evil 3PS4 theme also features some music from the game, but it’s unclear if that’s actually part of the theme or only for the video.

While those that pre-orderResident Evil 3on PS4 will get this extra bonus theme for their console, players on other platforms have reason to pre-order as well. By pre-orderingResident Evil 3on any console, fans of the survival-horror franchise will get access to theResident Evil 3Classic Costume Pack. This DLC gives Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliveira the outfits that they wore in the PS1 original instead of the new threads they’re wearing in the remake.
It’s possible that there will be more pre-order bonuses forResident Evil 3tacked on before the game’s launch. But maybe any new pre-order bonuses will be tied toResident Evil 3’s new multiplayer mode instead of the single-player experience. For the uninitiated, theResident Evil 3remake features a full-fledgedasymmetrical multiplayer mode calledResident Evil: Resistance, which looks to expand the game’s replayability considerably.
Just as pre-orderingResident Evil 3gets players new costumes for single player, it doesn’t seem like a stretch that similar content could be made available forResident Evil: Resistanceplayers. However, nothing has been announced so far, so as of now, fans can only count on getting this PS4 theme and the Classic Costume Pack when theypre-orderResident Evil 3.
In the meantime, more information onResident Evil 3should come sooner rather than later. The game is due out in early April, and we still have yet to get a good look at thetitular Nemesis monsterin action, so fans can expect the game to be showcased between now and then.
