All Worlds in Remnant 2

There are a total of six worlds players can explore in the game, each with a unique theme and multiple storylines.

6The Labyrinth

The Labyrinth is exactly what its name implies – a labyrinthine maze that seems to be never-ending. It is a fixed, non-randomized world inRemnant 2,where all players end up as they travel from one location to another.

The Labyrinth is a returning world from the original title,Remnant: From the Ashes, and was once a balanced and orderly realm before The Root took over. Now, the pathways are constantly shifting and changing as the walls collapse, making travel a little more frustrating for the survivors. Besides this, The Labyrinth features adreadful boss known as The Labyrinth Sentinel.

While it is simply “a cube”, the Labyrinth Sentinel isn’t an easy boss to tackle – one hit from the Sentinel can instantly kill the player. This makes this world comparatively less enjoyable, with many frustrated players claiming that The Labyrinth is the ‘worst area in the entire game.’

5Ward 13

Ward 13 is where the namelesstraveler’s journey inRemnant 2starts. It is home to most of the NPCs in the game, many of whom are other survivors of the apocalypse. Ward 13 acts as the central hub for players, where they can go to relax for a minute. This make-shift sanctuary is protected from the invading Root – for now.

Although it’s not much, Ward 13 is still an essential location in the game for players to trade andinteract with the various merchantswho reside there. It’s the perfect place for all kinds of weapon upgrades, crafting new equipment, and unlocking more archetypes. There are also a few hidden surprises for those with keen eyes. That said, there isn’t much to do in Ward 13, other than make a pit stop once in a while.

4N’Erud

One of the three main randomized worlds of the game, N’Erud is a futuristic realm that was built by the Drzyr. The Drzyr is a technologically advanced enemy race, who went extinct after their whole species plunged into a supermassive black hole.

N’Erud is a giant construct capable of moving across the universe at unimaginable speeds. This grand world features the sci-fi side ofRemnant 2and is quite overwhelming. As players explore the depths of N’Erud, they can find the reincarnated corpses of the Drzyr. These mutated creatures now haunt the very world they built.

Players can fight robotic monsters andfind cool new weaponsin N’Erud – including a handgun called The Star Shot. However, the sci-fi design of this world feels out of place in comparison to the chaos and destruction that occurred after the apocalypse.

3Yaesha

A returning world fromRemnant: From the AshesandChronos: Before the Ashes, players are all too familiar with Yaesha. Once a lush and thriving forest, Yaesha has now been corrupted by The Root and rots from within. Despite the destruction, the fantasy-inspired world of Yaesha retains a sense of beauty and wonder.

Players can explore vast sublocations, such as The Nameless Nest, Imperial Gardens, and the Cathedral of Omens. They can interact with mystical NPCs from the Pan species andadorn themselves with make-shift armor.

Remnant 2 -Standing In Front Of Nimue In Losomn

Although the nature theme clashes with many of the other worlds ofRemnant 2, it fascinatingly captures the parallels of beauty and destruction and sets the stage for humanity’s fight against the Root.

2Losomn

Among the three randomized worlds ofRemnant 2is Losomn. This deathly place is where The Dran and Fae races merged after the One True King was killed. The fusion of these species has caused chaos and destruction in the realm.

Losomn has a heavily gothic feel to it and is crawling with deadly enemies from both races. Players can meet the powerful Fae goddess, Nimue, and run into lost Dran children as they explore the streets of this chaotic world. It is an intriguing location in the journey of the nameless traveler, where players can find mysticalitems such as the Magic Quilland the Ornate Blade.

1Root Earth

The last realm inRemnant 2is the Root Earth. It is a fixed world where the traveler’s journey comes to an end. This world is an alternate version of Earth and lies in complete chaos and destruction. The Root Earth is where the Root originated from and stands as a reminder of what the Root is capable of.

No matter which worlds the player visits, their final destination is the Root Earth where they must eliminate thesource of the Root – a being called Annihilation. Players can feel the presence of Root all around them in this unsettling place. Root Earth is a terrifying yet exciting world to explore, with its own hidden secrets and mysteries.
