However, some players have found other tricks to deal with her.
One example of a Malenia strategy saw players usingthe Crucible Horns incantation, a charge ability that allowed them to knock the boss out of the air whenever she went for Waterfowl Dance. Another trick saw players equipping the Mimic Tear with a cannon, which served as another way to stun Malenia. The latest strategy sees players taking her down all on their own, and the key to success is the weapon known as Ghiza’s Wheel.

Where To Get Ghiza’s Wheel
Elden Ringfans can gather Ghiza’s Wheel inVolcano Manor, with the colossal weapon dropped by the phantom Inquisitor Ghiza after a brief fight. If players head upstairs once they have reached the Manor, which is found in Mt. Gelmir, they can encounter this enemy and collect its weapon. One of the most unique weapons in a game, Ghiza’s Wheel is a giant round blade that can rip into enemies and spins to deal good damage. As it turns out, it has excellent stun capabilities, something that one player has used to great effect when battling against Malenia.

Reddit user FriesWithNoKetchup used the “pizza cutter” to decimateMalenia, with the trick being to back the boss up against the wall. If this can be done successfully, Malenia cannot move, allowing players to tear through her health bar without any of her attacks able to be activated. This is exactly what is seen in the footage, and if players have the necessary FP and stamina, they can use the community-dubbed pizza cutter to make Malenia a cakewalk.
The key to success is the Spinning Wheel weapon art, an ability that sees the player holding out the colossal weapon and damaging anything in front of them. What makes this work so well against Malenia is that she essentially cannot land a hit on the player, as every time she dashes toward them, she is damaged by the spinning wheel and her attack is broken. It seems like the pizza cutter strategy is working out, as a group ofElden Ringfans led by explicitiguana all used Ghiza’s Wheel against the boss.
With a few thousand upvotes on each post,theElden Ringcommunityseems to adore this new approach to Malenia’s boss battle. While Ghiza’s Wheel may be viewed as one of the funniest weapons in the game, it still has its uses. The fact that it can take down such a formidable boss is incredible, and it shows how creative the community is when coming up with strategies.
