PS Plus - Sifu

Sifuhas a pretty straight forward martial art plot: players take on the role of a Kung Fu master as they seek revenge (or justice) for their father’s death. What makesSifuspecial is its roguelike structureaccompanying its beat ‘em up gameplay. Every time the player dies, they age several years. Aging increases damage output, but decreases overall health. At a certain age, death becomes permanent, encouraging players to replay, learn, and master each level to keep themselves as young as possible. The opponents in the game can be incredibly punishing, requiring players to master all of its gameplay elements from the basics and the structure gauge to parries and use of the environment. It’s a simple game, but it’s engaging, fun, challenging, and a great headlining game for PS Plus, standing its own alongside goliaths likeDestiny 2.

PS Plus - EA Sports F1 23

Redefining Formula One Games

Codemasters is a studio known for its racing simulation games, as opposed to more racing arcade games, with itsF1series holding the official Formula One and Formula 2 licenses.F1 23was billed as a fresh start for the franchise, though it brings back several key features from past games. It joins PS Plus after not being out for even a year yet, which some may take as a bad sign, but it’s not. The game has received generally favorable reviews and is a solid entry in the franchise and the genre as a whole. Features include, but are not limited to, the following:

PS Plus - Hello Neighbor 2

Questionable Ethics and Suspicious Houses

This “horror” action-adventure puzzle games takes players back to the town of Raven Brooks, but instead of playing as Nicky Roth, players take on the role of Quentin. As a journalist, Quentin is investigating the events of the first Hello Neighbor game. Players will sneak into crime scenes, into people’s houses, and otherwise look high and low for clues and evidence. Just like the first game,Hello Neighbor 2features a large open-world sandboxwhere multiple houses, AI-driven NPCs, and more stand between players and the infamous creepy neighbor. Overall, it’s recommended that players check out the first game, but those who have before are not going to be disappointed with this sequel.

PS Plus - Destiny 2: The Witch Queen

Taking the Fight to Savathun

This PS Plus addition is obviously an expansion toDestiny 2, meaning players will need to have the core experience downloaded as well. Like past expansions,Destiny 2: The Witch Queenintroduces new content, new missions, new locations, new gear, a raid, and much more. Story-wise, players learn more about the Darkness as they engage Savathun, the titular queen and sister of Oryx. Returning players may want to check out this content and perhaps the next expansion, Lightfall, although it was received less favorably. Everything right now is building tothe release ofDestiny 2’s Final Shape expansion, so it’s a pretty good time to get caught up.
