Pokemon GO’sthird and finalFree Weekly Challenge leading up to GO Fest 2020is about to arrive. The final week of challenges starts Friday at 8am local time and after two difficult weeks of skill-based and battle-themed challenges, a week of exchanging gifts with friends with playing with buddies definitely feels like a nice way to unwind.
This week the focus is all on Friendship tasks, which means thatPokemon GOplayers are going to be doing a lot of sending gifts, walking and playing with their buddies, and earning hearts with their companion Pokemon along the way… A whole lot of hearts as a matter of fact.

The full list of Friendship Week tasks and challenges has been revealed and, although there aren’t any tasks as difficult asearning a crazy number of Excellent Throws, there is still some actual work to do. By the final leg of the journey trainers will be asked to earn 30 Hearts with their buddy, which does require taking advantage of all the different activities available for trainers to interact with their little friends. For players who need a reminder, we’ve compiled a list of all of the ways that players can earn excitement points and hearts with their companion Pokemon…
Visit a new location - 1 excitement point
Walk 2 km - 3 excitement points
Feed your Buddy - 1 excitement point
Play with your Buddy - 1 excitement point
Take a Snapshot of the Buddy - 1 excitement point
Open a Souvenir / Present (requires Great Buddy) - 3 excitement points
Visit a Location highlighted by your Buddy - 3 excitement points
Most of these activities are pretty easy to accomplish simply by playing the game for a bit of time each day. Visiting a new location will be particularly tough for rural players, but the rest are pretty doable on a regular basis without going out of the way very much.
Most trainers will likely find this week’s tasks a bit easier than the last two, but it’s still recommended not to put these off until the last minute. Ideally, players should begin working today and gradually earn all the necessary hearts over the coming week instead of trying to cram all these tasks in right beforethe actual GO Fest activitieskick off.
As trainers continue working through all of these amazing events, they may want to keep hunting downthe best Unova Pokemon in the gameif improving their Battle Raid rosters and completing their Pokedex is their primary goal.
