WithPokemon GO’sthird and final Ultra Reward Week event about to come to a close, it’s almost time to return to the normal Battle Raid rotation and allow things to settle back down to normal. Each of the Ultra Bonus weeks featured a unique Legendary Pokemon in the 5-star Battle Raid slot, which means there’s a very important spot that needs to be filledonce Unova Week ends.

To close out the month of Battle Raids,Pokemon GOis bringing back the popular Fire- and Steel-type Pokemon Heatran. This Gen 4 Legendary originallyshowed up as a Legendary Battle Raid boss earlier in 2020, but now it is about to return to Pokemon GO 5-star Raids for a rematch.

Heatran is a pretty popular Legendary in the community and has a very unique type combo that makes ita very meta relevant option for many Battle Raid fights. That means that trainers will likely want to take the time to catch at least a handful of high IV Heatrsn

“The Fire- and Steel-type Lava Dome Pokémon, Heatran, will join Raid Battles across the world from June 29, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. PDT to June 29, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7)!

Be sure to assemble a team that includes Water-, Fighting-, and Ground-type Pokémon to take down this Legendary Pokémon before it overpowers your team with its massive strength!”

Once August 21 arrives, it is very likely that the full list of Battle Raid bosses will rotate at the same time that Heatran makes its appearance. Hopefully there will be some strong bosses available at the lower tiers as well and players will be able to enjoy plenty of raiding during the final days of August 2020.

This month has been full of exciting Battle Raids that offered a ton of shiny opportunities and the chance to fill in some additional Pokedex entries with hard to obtain Pokemon, so it’s going to be pretty tough for the final rotation of the month to live up to those standards. That said, even if Heatran is the only excitement that the final rotation brings, that is still a strong enough offer to get players out and about andspending Remote and Premium Raid Passesto earn as many encounters with the Legendary as possible.

Once the new event arrives this weekend, the festivities should give trainers a good reason to continue catchingthe best Unova Pokemon in the gameand getting closer to that complete Pokedex. Check back for morePokemon GOupdates closer to the event. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
