A surprisingly foul-mouthed assistant of the Velvet Room, Marie is a bit of a mystery to manyPersona 4 Goldenplayers - as well as to herself. As aPersona 4 Goldenexclusive character, many may not be entirely familiar with her, and they may not be aware of the especially large role she plays throughoutGolden.

While Maria does help the player with Velvet Room activities, she also plays a large part in the story ofGoldenand can even become a close friend - or a romantic partner - to the protagonist. Alongside this, she also represents the Aeon Arcana, and she’s also the character that will allow players to unlock the bonus content inGolden, makingher Social Linkswell worth the effort.
How To Unlock Marie’s Social Link
Firstly - and most importantly - the aforementioned bonus content is locked behind maxing out Marie’s Social Links, which in turn are locked behind a strict deadline. If players want access to the extra gameplay that comes after the main story, they must be careful to manage their time well.
Outside of this, though, unlocking Marie’s Social Link is a little different compared tomost other Social LinksthroughoutPersona 4 Golden. From April 18 onwards, players can enter the Velvet Room, chooseCheck on Dwellers, and then chooseListen to Marie’s Request.
After doing this, Marie will then appear outside the Velvet Room, and players will have the option to spend time with her when they’re free. However, Marie can only appear during the daytime when the player isn’tactively in an investigation.
Alongside this, Marie’s Social Link will also stop after a certain point due to story reasons, regardless of how much time players spend with her. The player will once again be allowed to access Marie’s Rank 5 scene until after July 24, and her Rank scenes will continue as normal after that.
How To Rank Up Marie’s Social Links
Animportant considerationto take into account when raising Social Links inPersona 4 Goldenis that the player can always gain bonus friendship points with Marie if they have a Persona in their party that matches her Arcana symbol. As we mentioned, Marie’s Arcana is Aeon, so be sure to keep a Persona like Narcissus in the party. In the information below,the points we have listed assume that the player has a Persona with the Magician Arcana in the party.
