While the ability to change Personas is a defining feature of the main character of eachPersonagame, he’s technically not alone. Each member of the Investigation Team can actually get new personas during thePersona 4 Goldenstory.
Main character, Yu Narukamihas hundreds of different Personas at his disposal. While hisPersona 4 Goldenparty members can’t freely swap between multiple Personas with wildly different skills, each one has access to three different ones throughout the course of the game.

How to Upgrade Party Members’ Personas in Persona 4 Golden
Party members’ Personas are upgraded after raising their Social Link up to rank 10.As part of the cutscenes showing the conclusion to the characters’ stories, their Persona will transform. This is followed by the Persona learning a new move and receiving a stat boost.
Players do not need to enter into a romantic relationship in order to have a party member’s Persona transform. If the player opts out of starting a romantic relationship with a character, they can still see the conclusion of their story and enjoy all the same rewards.
Raising up a Social Linkto rank 10 is a long process, but is definitely worth doing. Players do so bygiving the right answers during conversations, hanging out, and prioritizing them during holidays and other events. The number of days is limited, so players need to verify to make the most of them.
How to Get the Best Personas in Persona 4 Golden
Players can get the best Personas for their party members by raising them to rank 10 and then spending time with them in January. This is a new feature introduced inPersona 4 Goldenthat wasn’t available in the originalPersona 4release.
After defeating the real killerand advancing to one of the good endings, a new bonus chapter can be unlocked. This lets players spend more time with each party member that serves as something of an epilogue to their story. During this, they will unlock a third Persona that is even stronger and combines aesthetic elements of both of their two previous Personas.
This only applies to party members, so while an extra chapter for other social links would likely be interesting, not everyone gets this treatment.
