A Reddit user named McManus26 has shared an informative post that aims to provide a solution to gamers who findOverwatch 2too floaty when compared to the original. In general, the term floaty is used to describe unresponsive gameplay and controls, and McManus26 recommends changing a few settings that may mitigate this feeling. For gamers playing with a controller on a PC, McManus26 claims that aim smoothing affects their inputs, and suggests turning this setting to 0% in the options menu.
For players using a mouse and keyboard, McManus26 states that the setting named high precision mouse input should be turned on. It’s found under the Gameplay tab of the options menu and was reportedly on by default in the originalOverwatch. Finally, McManus26 mentions that turning off the dynamic render scale option should help users with aiming. They claim that changing these settings increased theiraccuracy with Sojournby around 10%, and also thank the CompetitiveOverwatchsubreddit for the suggestions.
It looks like McManus26’s tips were helpful, as some users report abetter gameplay experience inOverwatch 2thanks to these changes. However, others share that they don’t feel a major difference despite following the instructions. One player also suggests turning off the camera shake setting and reducing HUD movement in addition to the above to help reduce screen clutter.
It should be noted that these settings are for the PC version ofOverwatch 2. Later in the comments, gamers discuss how to improve aiming in theconsole version ofOverwatch 2, which also appears to suffer from the same problems.
