TheOvercookedgames have been hailed as some of the finest co-op experiences available on current-generation platforms. And now it’s been confirmed that theOvercookedexperience will be carrying over to next-generation consoles. As announced during the latestSummer Game Festevent,Overcooked: All You Can Eatis in active development for both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
Overcooked: All You Can Eatis not a properOvercooked 3, but it may be the next best thing. It combines all of the levels of both the originalOvercookedandOvercooked 2, along with all the DLC packs, remastered with 4K visuals to take advantage of the new consoles' added horsepower. However,Overcooked: All You Can Eathas more to offer to fans of the franchise than just improved visuals.

Overcooked: All You Can Eatwill see online multiplayer added to the originalOvercookedlevels for the first time ever, plus cross-play support across all platforms. The developers have also worked to add new accessibility options that should ensure even more people can properly enjoy the games. And finally, new content and chefs have also been confirmed. What exactly this new content will entail has not been confirmed by Ghost Town Games at the time of this writing, but more details should be made available in the months ahead. In total, there will be over 200 levels and over 180 chefs inOvercooked: All You Can Eat, so there should be plenty for fans to do regardless.
It’s also been confirmed thatOvercooked: All You Can Eatwill have some new trophies and achievements for fans to unlock, which may give those that have already fully completed the original games a reason to check it out.
As for whenOvercooked: All you may Eatwill be available, it currently has a vague release date of late 2020. It’s possible that the game will be released as a launch title for thePS5and Xbox Series X, but that’s just speculation at this time. Neither of the next-generation consoles have a release date at this point, so fans will just have to stay tuned for more information on that front.
Regardless, it will be nice forOvercookedfansto have access to all of the levels from the first two games on their next-generation console of choice, and hopefully they can look forward to a properOvercooked 3game at some point down the line.
