Shanks is an incredibly powerful piratein theOne Pieceworld. Known to be one of the Four Emperors of the sea, Shanks has reached unprecedented levels of power in the current era. Among the new Four Emperors, Shanks is most likely the strongest of the lot, and for all the right reasons. Even though he does not have a Devil Fruit, Shanks is certainly in a league of his own. This is because he has trained his Haki to the next level.
His skill with Haki is likely the most refined in the entirety of theOne Pieceworld right now and, recently, he showcased an ability that shocked the fans to their very core. Shanks managed to use his Conqueror’s Haki remotely.
Greenbull Attacks Wano
The war against Kaido concluded in Wano, fans got to see a proper look at Admiral Green Bull since he decided to come to Wano. Green Bull refused to follow orders from his superiors simply because he wanted to bring a trophy back to Akainu. It appears that he is a big fan of the way Akainu does things and decided that giving him Luffy’s head would earn him a lot of praise. Green Bull decided that it was going to be easy for him to defeat Luffy. As soon as he arrived in Wano, he was met with a powerful force of the samurai of the country. Naturally, the Samurai fought back against him effectively, however, they really had no idea about how strong he truly was.
Green Bull was able to deal with them effectively and cast them aside.Yamato certainly would have done wellagainst him, however, Momo forbade her from fighting and, as a result, Yamato was captured as well. Momo tried his best to take down Green Bull in combat, however, he’s severely inexperienced right now. Green Bull mentioned that the only one capable of stopping him there would have been Kaido, however, he is now gone and that means many powerful forces of the world are free to attack Wano as they like. And that is precisely where Shanks stepped in and shocked every single fan of One Piece for good.
Shanks In Wano
It appears that Shanks and his pirate crew had decidedto sail the seas around Wanoas they were on the lookout for Blackbeard. Even though he did not make his move on Wano, there were other interesting characters who did and this gave Shanks an opportunity to showcase his incredible powers. Oda has focused quite well on the fact that Shanks and his pirate crew seem to be very adept at Haki. Even though they were miles away from the mainland, they could easily pick up in fact that some powerful force was present on the island of Wano. This just goes to show that the Haki of the crew is trained to an incredibly high degree. Being able to sense someone’s presence with Observation Haki from so far away is not a small feat yet, they managed it effortlessly.
Shanks, in particular, was easily able to sense the person who was on the island and he decided to retaliate. When he realized that Green Bull was not going to stop and was hell-bent on destroying the young generation that were now tired after fighting against Kaido, Shanks decided to take things into his own hands.
Shanks stepped on the deck of his ship and unsheathed a portion of his sword. Moments later, fans got to see the atmosphere around Wano change. Clouds started to surround the country and strong lightning sparks started to emerge in the surroundings.
Shanks' Remote Conqueror’s Haki
It didn’t take fans long to figure out that Shanks was actually making use of Conqueror’s Haki in this particular moment. As soon as he stepped foot on the deck and unsheathed his sword, Shanks sent out powerful bolts of Conqueror’s Haki from miles away to where Green Bull was. These bolts of Haki traveled at an incredibly fast speed, covering miles within a matter of seconds. Green Bull, who was freely attacking the samurai at this point, was taken by surprise. Immediately after Shanks released this power, Green Bull was able to sense something dangerous heading towards them.
Shanks’s Haki was able to hit Green Bull successfully and it certainly paralyzed him, preventing him from moving even an inch.
In fact, Green Bull even mentioned himself that he was unable to move and was screaming in quite a lot of pain. This just goes to show that Shanks has mastered Conqueror’s Haki to a completely different level. He can also use this power remotely from a very large distance, just as he did when he fought against Green Bull. This is a very unique skill and likely a very advanced application of Haki. Not just anyone can pull this off. Shanks is the only one who has shown the capabilities for this skill. This clearly means that Shanks is the strongest user of Conqueror’s Haki right now. He is the only one who understands how this skill works best and how to bring out the very best from this ability.
Shanks’s remote Haki was so powerfulthat Green Bull decided to exit his Devil Fruit transformation and simply gave up. Green Bull then went on to say that he is not looking to pick a fight with Shanks or the Red Hair Pirates at this point in time. This is a clear indication that Green Bull considered himself to be inferior when compared to Shanks. Meanwhile, on the deck of the pirate ship of the Red Hair Pirates, Lucky Roux commented on the fact that Shanks letting loose of his Haki was making the newcomers faint.
This meant that Shanks showcased anger in an uncontrolled manner, because a user of Conqueror’s Haki can certainly pick who to affect with their ability. This was but a small glimpse of what Shanks is capable of once he is angry. His true powers have still not been seen in One Piece and the fact that he can do all this with just a sliver of his rage speaks volumes about his true strength. Shanks has earned himself a bounty of over 4 billion berries and he certainly might be worth much more, given that he has stayed out of the race for theOne Pieceon purpose until now. He might not have a Devil Fruit, but his Haki is the strongest that the fans have seen so far.
Later down the line, Shanks also revealed his power to use Observation Haki and see into the future. Once again, he surprised the fans by looking over 10 seconds into the future, which is the most that any character has done to date. This implies that Shanks is not onlya master of Conqueror’s Hakibut also Observation Haki as well. In his fight against Kid, he, once again, showed just a glimpse of his powers and a single strike from him actually proved to be enough to take down both Kid and Killer at the same time. Undoubtedly, Shanks is a monstrously powerful pirate and his Haki has been taken to a completely different level when compared to the other Pirates of the world.
