The Straw Hat Pirates are one of the four strongest pirate crews inOne Piece. The crew was formed in East Blue and over time, they have gained more members and become ever more powerful. All the members of the Straw Hats are renowned throughout the world for their achievements.
Currently, the crew has a total of ten members; Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Franky, Brook, and Jimbei. Jimbei is the latest personto join the Straw Hat Pirates, and he has the third-highest bounty within the crew. Before joining the Straw Hats, Jimbei used to be a member of the Shichibukai, an organization that was affiliated with the World Government. In the Egghead Island arc, it was revealed that SSG has modeled a Seraphim after Jimbei.

The Seraphim
Like theSeraphim of all the other former Shichibukai, Jimbei’s Seraphim represents a younger version of him. In addition to resembling a young Jimbei, the Seraphim also has Lunarian traits, which include white hair and black wings. InOne Piecechapter 1065, Jimbei’s seraphim was involved in a fight against the Straw Hat Pirates. The Seraphim didn’t hesitate to attack the pirates, and things weren’t looking good for them until Sanji and Robin stepped in. While they did manage to save Nami, the Seraphim wasn’t ready to give up its pursuit.
How Powerful Are They Seraphim?
One thing that is common to all the Seraphim is that they look like the younger version of the former Shichibukai. Their appearance is almost a carbon copy of the sketches released in an SBS by Oda. The first time the Seraphim appeared in the story was during the battle of Amazon Lily.
The Marines led by Koby came to the island to capture Boa Hancock, and they brought two Seraphim with them; they resembled a young Mihawkand Boa Hancock. No one was quite sure how powerful these Seraphim would be, but considering that they had to replace seven noteworthy pirates, the expectations were high. During the fight that took place on Amazon Lily, a single slash from S-Hawk’s sword was enough to slice off a huge chunk of a mountain. The power of the Seraphim even shocked Blackbeard, and he had to use his Armament Haki to defend himself from their attack. Furthermore, the Seraphim have incredible endurance, as noted by the Boa sisters, who pointed out that they left Amazon Lily unscathed.

To make matters worse, it has been confirmed that the Seraphim can be armed with devil fruits. Jimbei’s Seraphim was seen using the power of the Sui Sui no Mi, which is a paramecia-type devil fruit that belongs to Senor Pink. Considering the fact that the Donquixote Pirates are in the custody of the Marines, it wouldn’t have been a problem for Vegapunk to create a replica of Senor Pink’s devil fruit. Kuma’s Seraphim, S-Bear, also has the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi, so it’s reasonable to assume the S-Snake has one as well.
Unlike the old Pacifista, the Seraphim have the ability to keep improving. According to Edison, the Seraphim are still children, which means they can grow and become more powerful. This doesn’t bode well for the pirates considering even a Yonko seemed to have a tough time dealing with them.
What Will They Do With The Seraphim?
The World Governmenthas made it perfectly clear that they want to get rid of Vegapunk and all of his bodies. By eliminating Vegapunk, the World Government would have crushed one of the biggest threats to its authority. If Lucci and the other CP0 members manage to eliminate all the bodies of Vegapunk, that would mean there will be no one left to program or upgrade the Seraphim. Even if the Seraphim stayed the same, it shouldn’t be a problem as they are already more powerful than most pirates.
Luckily, Vegapunk is fully aware of the World Government’s intentions, and he has already requested Luffy to help him get off the island. Considering the fact that CP0 has already broken into the laboratory, it will be interesting to see whether Vegapunk and all his satellites manage to leave Egghead Island in one piece. The next chapter of One Piece could feature a major battle between Luffy and Lucci, and needless to say, fans are absolutely thrilled by the prospect.
