Fall 2022 is officially here, which means video game releases are about to ramp up. October 2022 is already stacked withgame releases likeOverwatch 2, Scorn, A Plague Tale: Reqiuem, and many more, but no specific day is as loaded as October 28.
Indeed, the most space between any game releases in October is a one-week break, but otherwise, there is a release lined up for most days of the month and some days have multiple releases. There are multiple major games releasing on October 28, and while they may appeal to different types of gamers, the fact is that anyone who tries to play as much as they can are going to be off to the races in October and absolutely wrecked on October 28.

Video Game Releases - October 28
The Switch is perhaps the big winner of October 28, asBayonetta 3andResident Evil Villageboth release on it that day. WhileVillagemay just be coming to a new platform, Bayonetta 3has been a long time coming.Bayonetta 3is easily one of the most anticipated Switch releases of the fall, and that’s saying something givenPokemon Scarlet and Violet’s releaseon November 18. That’s two games, but that’s not all.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2also releases on October 28, and whileCall of Dutygamesrelease every year,Modern Warfare 2is a bit special. The past couple of releases,Black Ops Cold WarandVanguard, have had middling receptions for the franchise, withModern Warfare 2019being the last big hit for the franchise.Modern Warfare 2’s betashows it’s not perfect, but it does seem to be on the right track.
And still on top of that isResident Evil Village’s Winters expansion, as well as the multiplayer gameResident Evil: ReVerse, both of which release on October 28. The former may just be a DLC, but it’s shaping up to be a solid entry in the franchise, in and of itself, while the latter sees players engage in six-person deathmatch battles. October 28 is definitely a day forResident Evilfans, but as a whole, between all of its content,Modern Warfare 2,andBayonetta 3, it’s going to be a good day for all gaming fans.
