Obsidian co-founder Feargus Urquhart revealed that he would very much be interested in making anotherFallouttitle. It’s not clear when the nextFalloutgame will release or even be unveiled, as currently Bethesda is hard at work gettingStarfieldready for next year. And it seems that after the release of its ambitious space-faring RPG, the developer will return to the fantasy setting ofThe Elder Scrolls.Fallout 5will likely be revealed at some point afterThe Elder Scrolls 6then, putting it more than a couple of years away.

It seems that Obsidian may also be interested in creating anotherFallouttitle. In a recent interview with DualShockers, Obsidian co-founder Feargus Urquhart spoke about his fondness for theFalloutfranchise, stating that he would “love” the opportunity for Obsidian to work on another game in the series. According to Urquhart, it is not a question of whether Obsidian would make the game or not, it is more a matter of “will the opportunity arise?”
Urquhart previously worked on the first twoFalloutgames during his time with Interplay Entertainment and Black Isle Studios, so it’s understandable that he has a passion for the franchise. Currently, Obsidian releasedGroundedversion 1.0, and the developer is working on a handful of other titles including fantasy RPGAvowedand a sequel toThe Outer Worlds. This doesn’t mean that a newFalloutgame would be out of the question, as Urquhart says that the company will be looking at its next games soon, even stating that he’d be “surprised ifFalloutisn’t on that list.”
Even if Obsidian did return to make anotherFalloutgame, it seems that this title would be a few years away at least. However, for those wanting a new journey in theFalloutuniverse, there are some interesting and ambitious mods which might just be able to fill the gap between now and the release of a new game.Fallout London, for example, gives fans a wholly new experience using the assets ofFallout 4.
