Most of the first game’s zany cast of playable fighters will be returning inNickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, along with a handful of cartoon favorites that fans have been requesting since its predecessor was announced. Jimmy Neutron will finally enter the fray after his father Hugh was added as a DLC character in the firstAll-Star Brawl, Plankton andSquidward will join SpongeBob SquarePants, and Raphel and Donatello of theTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtleswill finally leap into action after missing out in the original game.

Now another character has been added toNickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2’s lineup of famous cartoon heroes and villains. Earlier today, GameMill, Ludosity, and Fair Play Labs revealed that El Tigre fromEl Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Riverawill be coming to the game as a rushdown character with some of the fastest attacks inNickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2. El Tigre is also described as a glass cannon with a mix of ranged and close-up combos, using his razor-sharp claws to inflict rapid damage on his opponents and his extendable arms to close the distance from afar. A trailer of El Tigre in action was posted on GameMill’s official YouTube channel.

El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Riverais one of Nickelodeon’s lesser-known original shows, having only run for one 26-episode season from 2007 to 2008. The morally conflicted young hero was teased as aplayable character inNickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2even before its official announcement, with the show’s creator Jorge R. Gutierrez hinting at his inclusion. A leaked screenshot would later show El Tigre battling his fellow feline combatant Garfield.

Now El Tigre is officially part ofNickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2’s eclectic rosterof cable cartoon mainstays. While he isn’t the most mainstream character in the Nickelodeon library, the fact that he’s included is a treat for fans who grew up watchingThe Adventures of Manny Rivera- and his fighting style will likely make him an ideal choice for players who prefer speedy strikes to brute strength.Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2isn’t set to launch until sometime next year, so even more characters from Nick cartoons past and present could be added to the game’s roster in time.
