MultiVersus' Twitter account posted a tongue-in-cheek message that read, “taps mic testing, testing, 1, 2, 3.” This seems to be an obvious hint that developer Player First Games is preparing a significant announcement, which could possibly be related to the game’s release date. Since the beta’s shutdown over eight months ago, Player First has presumably been focused on refiningMultiVersus' gameplay and possibly adding new stages and characters.
Thanks to Warner Bros.' massive library of franchises, fans have pretty extensive wish lists regardingfuture additions toMultiVersus' character lineup. These requests include characters fromMortal Kombat,Harry Potter, and more. Once it releases,MultiVersus' main competitor might be the already-releasedNickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, which also features a lineup of characters from a variety of popular franchises.
MultiVersus' beta featured offline multiplayer with up to four users, making it one of theXbox’s best local four-player games.
