More new skins are coming toMortal Kombat 11today. A new bundle for the popular blood-based fighter Skarlet has just gone live on theMortal Kombat 11Premium Shop. The Skarlet Bundle features two new skins for the fighter, though the two are identical beyond color variations. It also includes a new Victory outro animation and three pieces of gear, a mask, a dagger, and a blood vial. ThisMortal Kombat 11Skarlet bundle is available now on PS4 and Xbox One for 1855 Time Krystals and should go live on PC and Nintendo Switch soon.

The new Skarlet skin bundle is being referred to as a sort of Klassic pack byMortal Kombat 11players. The skins included in the bundle do seem to hearken back to the original Skarlet inMortal Kombat 9. However,Mortal Kombat 11andMortal Kombat 9embrace vastly different design sensibilities. To put that more clearly,Mortal Kombat 9was much more fan-servicey when it comes to women fighters' costumes. The newMortal Kombat 11Skarlet skins have a classic sensibility, but avoid going full fan-service.

What makes the newMortal Kombat 11Skarlet skinsclassic is the mask. It covers the her face from the nose down and closely resembles the ninja-style masks from previous games. The rest of her outfit consists of a one-piece body suit with no legs, elbow-length gloves, and knee-high boots. The two skins are different in that one is mostly blood red with black accents and the other is mostly black with red accents.

Overall, the two skins are surprisingly simple. They do hearken back to the originalMortal Kombatgames and their very basic-looking ninjas, though. Perhaps that’s what NetherRealm was going for with the design of Skarlet’s new skins. Or perhapsNetherRealmjust wanted to offer another basic alternative forMortal Kombat 11players who aren’t a fan of Skarlet’s base outfit. It does have a lot going on.

As for Skarlet’s new Victory outro, it’s a simple but interesting animation. It’s titled Blood Burst and features Skarlet summoning an orb of blood above her hand. She then slashes the blood orb with her dagger after doing a spin, causing the blood to explode outward in slow motion. Blood Burst is as interesting as Skarlet’s other Victory outros like Red Rain, her blood scythe animations Bleeding Edge and Krimson Reaper. If only there was a newfatality, too.
