A mysterious immortal villager has been discovered byMinecraftfans on the game’s oldest known survival server, with a handful of fans finding the NPC to somehow be completely impervious to all types of damage. The iconic society of villagers found throughout eachMinecraftworld have become something of a mascot for the game as a whole, with their comedically large noses and easily-identified mumbling sounds making them a standout entity within the world of gaming.
Minecraftcertainly knows no end of bugsacross its multiple different editions, and it’s not uncommon for players to come across some of the game’s mobs exhibiting odd behavior as a result of some malfunctioning game code. The game’s Bedrock version is especially notorious for its wide collection of technical flaws, though they rarely seem to affect the peaceful lives of the game’s villagers who can be found occupying pre-generated village structures throughout aMinecraftworld. Though these passive mobs seek only to trade goods with adventuring players, many of the game’s previous updates have introduced plenty of new capabilities, behaviors, and appearances for the villagers.

This odd discovery was recently shared in a Reddit post from the user NightSteak, who attached a screenshot of the allegedly immortal villager being held inside a small containment room. While a number of intrigued fans have come forward with their own ideas of how this is possible on a technical level, the villager was apparently found on the world’soldest survivalMinecraftserver, and has proven immune to explosions as well as all other tested forms of damage.
Many entertained fans have compared this oddMinecraftvillager to characters in the SCP fandom, which generally involves fictional stories of anomalous beings of similar natures. Others have also suggested various methods of further studying the villager’s mob data, with the hope that the bug could potentially be replicated or even exploited in typical gameplay for use in projects that involverare or importantMinecraftmobs.
