Call of Dutygames have slowly but surely stopped appearing on Nintendo consoles. The most recentCall of Dutygames have had huge files sizes, and have also required a decent amount of graphical firepower to run. This is most likely why the Nintendo Switch is yet to receive aCall of Dutygame as yet.
In an interview with CNBC, Microsoft’s President Brad Smith noted that the company would like to bring theCall of Dutyfranchise to Nintendo devices in the future. Smith also mentioned that Microsoft would like to bring other popular Activision Blizzard titles to the console. This does not, however, mean that there are any concrete plans to do so in the near future.

Microsoft made this announcement in tandem with the announcement thatCall of Dutygames will continue coming to PlayStation. Not too long ago, Activision confirmed that at least the next threeCall of Dutywould still be available on PlayStation consoles owing to an agreement the company had with Activision. Microsoft has now confirmed that theCall of Dutyfranchise will continue to come to PlayStation consoles even after the confirmed three installments.
It seems as though Activision was not keen on the idea of releasingCall of Dutygames on the Switch asnot a singleCall of Dutyiteration has been launched on the Switchsince it came out. Many fans of the series who decided to purchase Nintendo Switch consoles posed questions to Treyarch aboutCall of Duty: Black Ops 4, as it was the first game in the series to release after the Nintendo Switch released. However,Black Ops 4never made it to the platform.
Activision will most likely face many challenges if it decides to bring the series to the Nintendo Switch, as theCall of Dutyfranchise has become notorious for having huge file sizes.Call of Duty: Warzone’s file size ranges between 50GB and 60GB, while the Nintendo Switch only has 32GB of onboard storage. This can be increased with a MicroSD card, however, in its current state it would take up a lot of storage on the console. The Nintendo Switch should have enough firepower to run the game if the graphics are downgraded, however, as evenDOOM Eternalhas been able to run on the handheld in the past.
Call of Duty: Warzonewould be a nice addition to the Nintendo Switch’s library, as the handheld already includes other battle royales likeFortniteandApex Legends. Fans will have to stay tuned to see if it actually happens, though.
