The first step toward meeting “him” is getting inside Hotel Letztes Jahre, which requires the solving of several puzzles. This completeguide to entering the hotel inLorelei and the Laser Eyeswill help players get through those preliminary puzzles, and they will be ready to move on to the next step as soon as they are inside.
With respect to the specifics of that next step, players must now spend some time exploring the hotel. While it is recommended that fans ofpuzzle gamesuse this time to examine documents and become familiar with the hotel’s layout, they are not required to do so. Indeed, all that players must do is quickly visit the basement and third floor and then meet “him” in the hotel’s entry room.
The basement can be accessed by descending the stairs in the hotel’s entry room and passing through the opening in the top-left corner of the hallway. The third floor can be accessed by going up the stairs at the top of the hotel’s entry room and then climbing the stairs on the left.

As soon as the meeting concludes, players should enter the room on the left and use the computer to make a save. The “Letter Signed by Robert Sidney, July 28, 2025,” which is on the table to the left of the key cabinet, is dated 1963, and it makes reference to “last year” (1962).

After collecting the Room 2014 Key from the reception key cabinet, players can return to the entrance and go up the stairs at the top of the room. Fans ofgames with unique art stylesshould then go left, to ascend another flight of stairs, and use the Room 2014 Key on the door marked with “2014” to enter.
