Summary
In the world ofJJK, fans have seen quite a lot of powerful sorcerers over the years. Most of the sorcerers have some sort of talent right from the get-go. However, there are some who are born without much talent, to begin with.
These are sorcerers who can go in two directions. Either they remain that way for the entirety of their lives, or, at some point in life, they hit a growth spurt and develop into very skilled sorcerers. Naturally, this class of sorcerers is very rare, however, they certainly do exist and quite a few of them even dominate the world ofJJK, as fans know it, right now.

5Kusakabe
A Grade 1 Sorcerer
Kusakabe is a Grade One Sorcerer and one of the most interesting onesinJJK, simply based on the fact that, unlike others, he does not have an innate technique. Despite that, he has made it quite far. Kusakabe is quite old, and his compatriots are rather young in the story. This in itself is proof of the fact that he did not develop fast at a young age. Instead, he seems to have taken his time to reach the level of a Grade One Sorcerer, and that just goes to show his skills have only improved with time.
Had Kusakabe been a genius, then he would have been revealed to be a very intriguing talent right from the get-go. Instead, he is anything but that. He is vastly underestimated in the story, simply because he does not have access to an innate technique. However, when it comes down to getting the job done, he is certainly one of the very best, especially when it truly counts. His skill with the sword is such that even Kenjaku went on to praise him for what he had attained over the years despite being restricted in many ways as a sorcerer.

4Takuma Ino
A Grade 2 Sorcerer
Takuma Ino is a Grade 2 Sorcerer that fans are introduced to quite early into the series. Unlike the vast majority of the characters in the world ofJJK, Ino does not seem to possess any natural talent. He seems to be just a regular sorcerer, with a regular ceiling, and just about average abilities up his sleeve.
That said, Ino has been progressing greatly over the years. He has lived up to the standards that Nanami set for him, despite not having incredible abilities unlike others. Ino has also progressed gradually, however, his recent developments have seen him jump strength tiers quite a lot. More recently, he was seen even going up against Sukuna. This was made possible because of him receiving Nanami’s blunt sword. Nanami’s cursed technique, the ratio technique, has now been stored inside his sword, and Ino can utilize it in battle freely. It is a memento from Nanami, and he wields it in his memory, which means that he has now hit a growth spurt that will see him become one of the most efficient sorcerers later down the line.

3Kokichi Muta
Semi-Grade 1 Sorcerer
Kokichi Muta was a student from the Kyoto school, and fans knew him to utilize Mechamaru in battle primarily. This was because his main body was disabled to the point where he could not even stand up without feeling pain. In fact, even breathing was hard for him at times. This was down to his Heavenly Restriction, which granted him a tremendous amount of cursed energy, however, took away his physical abilities from him.
Muta was always destined to live a life full of pain and misery. However, when he collaboratedwith the likes of Mahitoand Kenjaku, things flipped for him. He was able to get his normal body back, and this was thanks to Idle Transfiguration, which was used by Mahito on him. Once he was able to get his body back, he was also able to utilize the best of his abilities. At this point, he hit a sudden growth spurt which put him beyond the level of a regular sorcerer in the world ofJJK. Unfortunately, he ended up dying prematurely.

2Yuji Itadori
The Protagonist Of The Story
Yuji Itadori is the protagonist of the series, and while many consider him to be a genius, he is anything but that. Yuji certainly does have some talent when it comes to utilizing cursed energy. It can also be said that he learns things quickly, however, for the vast majority of his life, Yuji had no idea about his true hidden power.
In fact, even when he started out as a sorcerer, Yuji was nothing special. However, through training,Yuji has now bloomed into a fantastic sorcerer. He can be considered to be a late bloomer, but only when compared to his fellow students. The vast majority of them have been training their cursed techniques ever since they were kids. Yuji doesn’t have an innate technique, however, he’s not only able to keep up with them, but also surpass them, especially now that he is fighting against the strongest enemies.

1Maki Zenin
A Sorcerer Who Escaped The Curse
The best late bloomer that fans have seen inJJKis, undoubtedly, Maki. Maki was born with a Heavenly Restriction that gave her tremendous physical abilities, however, she had very low cursed energy. For Maki, becoming a sorcerer was almost impossible. However, she trained as well as she could, and eventually, despite her family putting hurdles in her path, became a sorcerer.
While Maki’s skills were amazing, she was still restricted by her remaining cursed energy. After the Shibuya Incident, Maki was successfully able to get rid of this remaining cursed energy, and that meant her Heavenly Restriction was truly able to bloom. At this point,Maki’s true potential was realized, and she matched Toji Fushiguro in terms of strength and skill. Maki has, since then, grown even stronger and bloomed into a phenomenal fighter.
