TheInvincibleseason 2 trailer has finally been released, and some eagle-eyed fans have noticed a few clues in the trailer that might point to a crossover.The first season ofInvinciblecame out in March 2021 onAmazon Prime Video, but the second season has taken a while to release. Franchise creator Robert Kirkman recently revealed thatAngstrom Levy is theInvincibleseason 2 villain. Levy is one of Invincible’s greatest enemies. This seems ridiculous, asInvincibleis not a Marvel or Sony character, but there is some valid reasoning behind it. Spider-Man and Invincible have had a crossover in the comics before, and this same comic appeared on Mark’s phone during theInvincibleseason 2 teaser released in January.
The end of the most recentInvincibletrailer showed all of the voice actors who will be in season 2. One of them was Josh Keaton, who voiced Spider-Man in theSpectacular Spider-Manand even appeared inAcross the Spider-Verse. Additionally,Amazon is developing a Spider-Man Noirand Silk series, so they may have the right to do it if Sony agrees.Invinciblehas even responded to theory on Twitter recently.
A fan replied to a recent post showing theInvincibleand Spider-Man crossover comic, saying, “What else are you telling???” TheInvincibleTwitter replied, “I have no idea what that is!!!” This does not confirm the theory, but it is enough for fans to believe it will happen.
Fans should still not get their hopes up about a Spider-Man andInvinciblecrossover in the new season. Withthe recent multiverse superhero films, there has been a trend of fans hoping to see certain characters appear and then being disappointed when it doesn’t happen. Every box is checked for this crossover to be able to happen, but that doesn’t mean that it will.
Invincibleseason 2 part 1 will premiere on November 3rd, 2023, on Amazon Prime Video.
