How To Ping In-Game
There are three ways to ping inLost Ark,and each is useful in its own way. To ping in-game,point the mouseon any point on the screen,hold the “CTRL” key, and use theleft mouse buttonto ping, leaving a temporary marker on the selected location. Doing so is most useful when needing to communicatein the midst of a heated battlewhen the player doesn’t have time for more elaborate communication.
How To Ping On The Mini-Map
To ping on the mini-map, firstopen the map by pressing “TAB,“thenhold “CTRL"and click theleft mouse button, as if doing an in-game ping. Mini-map pings aren’t much slower than in-game pings and have the advantage of letting the player mark positions much farther away, such as distantloot spots for their teammates to find.

Pinging on the mini-map is also more flexible than in-game pinging since the player doesn’t have to be able to actually see the location in front of their character in order to ping it.
How To Ping On The World Map
The last ping method allows players to mark positions on the world map itself. First, the player mustopen the map by pressing “M,“and thenholding “Shift"and clicking theright mouse buttonto place a marker. While not tactically useful amid combat like in-game pinging is, pinging on the world map can be indispensable for navigating the world ofLost Ark,whether finding one’s way tothe next treasure trove,farming spot, or fight to get into.
Pinging in this way automatically communicates the ping to friends in the chatbox as well, minimizing redundancy in communication and allowing the player to more effectively coordinate a large team, which isas important for raidsas it is for skirmishes.
