Pokebabies, Pokemon in baby form, have proven to be particularly difficult to acquire. That being said, thisPokemon SwordandShieldguide will show players how to acquire Cleffa, the infant version of the fairy-type monster, Clefairy.

Players that want a Clefable will need to look throughPokemon Sword & Shield for Cleffa. Cleffa is the first-stage evolution of the Fairy Pokemon and training one can be rather rewarding. The first thing Pokemon trainers will need in order to acquire a Cleffa is, in fact, a Clefairy or a Clefable. Either one will do. Clefairies can be found during heavy fog weather conditions in the Motostoke Riverbank or Giant’s Cap regions and can be seen directly in the grass in the overworld.
Once players have acquired either a Clefairy or Clefable, they can continue scouring the Motostoke Riverbank or Giant’s Cap region in the hopes of acquiring another of the exact same type. That is to say, if a player has a Clefairy, then they will need a second Clefairy. Likewise, if a player has a Clefable, then they will need to acquire a second Clefable and not a Clefairy.
Another option Pokemon trainers have is to acquire a Ditto, which can breed with either a Clefairy or a Clefable. They can be found at the Lake of Outrage at a 10% spawn rate.
Once players have a compatible pair, then they are just one step away from nursing a baby Cleffa. Pokemontrainers can go to the Nurseryon Route 5 or the Nursery in the Bridge Field region of the Wild Area and give the Pokémon to the attendant.
After a moment, the attendant will proclaim that the Pokemon was found holding an egg, and will ask the player if they would like to take it. Trainers should say yes and place the egg in one of their party slots. After a few minutes of walking around, an “Oh?” message will pop up and alert players to the fact that the egg has hatched and, although it is nota Baby Yoda pokemon, they are now the proud owners of a newborn Cleffa.
Like any parent, trainers can do their best to raise this newborn the right way, but if their Effort Values go slightly awry, they can always brush up onhow to reset their Cleffa’s EVs.
What Kind Of Stats Do Cleffa And Its Evolutions Have?
Those that find the right Cleffa and evolve it into Clefable will have a powerhouse defensive Pokemon on their hands.

Those snagging a Cleffa to use in battle will definitely be disappointed. It’s very much a “baby” Pokemon and it will need to go through at least one evolution to feel somewhat viable in most fights. To achieve that evolution into Clefairy, players will need to first get Cleffa to high friendship and then level it up to trigger the evolution.
In its base form, Cleffa has the following base stats:

Cleffa sees a boost from 210 total base stats to 323 when it makes the evolutionary jump to Clefairy. The Fairy Pokemon is much more viable in battle and can even gain access to powerful Fairy-type moves through leveling, like Moonblast.

Clefable
Those that want to get the most out of the Cleffa they catch or hatch will want to take it all the way to its final evolution into Clefable. At this stage, the Fairy Pokemon gains 483 base stats. Its pure typing gives it immunity to Dragon-types and it only carries two weaknesses with Poison and Steel. Clefable can learn an array of useful moves and comes equipped with the Unaware hidden ability. It can also appear with Cute Charm or Magic Guard.
To evolve Clefairy into Clefable, players must use a Moon Stone.

The Best Build For Clefable
Clefable can be pretty good in a fight thanks to its pure typing. Those that plan on using the Fairy Pokemon as part of their team will want to consider using the following moves:
It’s also recommended that players find a Clefable with the Bold Nature, as it will boost its Defense a bit. It can also benefit from holding a health-boosting or recovery item like Leftovers. Those that can build their Clefable in this way and give it access to the Magic Guard ability, will have a defensive Pokemon that can help carry a team to victory.
