A bone-chilling new trailer reveals that Bloodious Games’ terrifying 2022 horror titleMadisonwill be making its way to Sony’s soon-to-be-released PlayStation VR2. Released for PC and consoles in 2022,Madisonis a first-person horror game that draws inspiration from Hideo Kojima’s canceledPTproject. Featuring gritty, realistic visuals and suitably spooky sound design throughout, the unique horror title doesn’t provide players with any weapons to take on the demonic creatures that inhabit the game world. Instead, players rely on an instant camera to solve puzzles, uncover secrets, and deliver some truly terrifying jump scares. The announcement ofMadison’s release for Sony’s headset puts it in the company of one of the gaming industry’s biggest horror heavyweights, with aPS VR2 version ofResident Evil 8arriving as a launch title for the device.

In a trailer that was released as part of publisher Perp Games’ PS VR2 showcase,Madisoncreator and Bloodious Games founder Alexis Di Stefano announced that the popular horror game would be receiving a PS VR2 port. The developer appeared over footage of the flatscreen release ofMadisonand thanked fans of the game for their support before revealing that it would be arriving on PS VR2. Though no release date was announced, Di Stefano stated that the PS VR2 version ofMadisonwould take the game to “a whole new level” that will make the first-person horror title scarier than ever. Closing out the trailer with an unexpected jump scare, the surprise announcement of a PS VR2 port ofMadisonis sure to be welcome news to both fans of the original game and those looking for a whole new way to experience horror titles.
The flatscreen version ofMadisonalready has a reputation for being one of the most terrifying games in recent years, so fans of the title will undoubtedly be waiting to see how Bloodious Games ratchets up the tension withMadison’s VR release.
