Set to debut as one of two featured five-star characters in Version 1.6,Honkai: Star Railplayers have already been given a few chances to become familiar with Ruan Mei. Ruan Mei is first referenced within in-game dialogue as a member of the Genius Society alongside playable character Herta. Ruan Mei is also said to have assisted Herta with the creation of the Simulated Universe, also aided by another heavily rumored upcoming character in Screwllum. The newest Ruan Mei leak is now giving fans a sneak peek at her signature five-star Light Cone.
A new leak added toHonkai: Star Rail’s “Hakushin” leak database reveals theunique effect for Ruan Mei’s signature Light Cone. Ruan Mei’s signature Light Cone will grant a staggering60% Break Effect buff to Harmony charactersusing the Light Cone. The Light Cone features a powerful interaction with the user’s Ultimate, buffing all allies' damage by 25% after using an Ultimate and regaining a Skill Point if the user’s Break Effect is above 150%. It also offers a unique benefit in multi-wave battles, regenerating 10 Energy for all allies at the start of a new wave.
Ruan Mei’s signature Light Cone looks to be a powerful addition to the game for Harmony characters that should synergize well with her playstyle.Early leaks of Ruan Mei’s gameplayhave teased her kit as heavily focusing around the Weakness Break mechanic, with her Skill buffing allies' Weakness Break efficiency and Speed. Her Ultimate also reduces the Weakness Break resistance of enemies, as well as inflicting them with a slow. Ruan Mei will debut with the release of Version 1.6, currently expected to launch in late December.
Ruan Mei will not be the only new character joiningHonkai: Star Rail’s roster in Version 1.6, joined by another five-star character and a four-star unit. Dr. Ratio will join Ruan Mei as Version 1.6’s other featured five-star unit, joining the game as an Imaginary Hunt character. The update will also welcome along-rumored four-star unit in Xueyi, first appearing during Dan Heng’s portion of the story ofHonkai: Star Rail’s Xianzhou Luofu.
