Since the multiplayer ofHalo Infinitefirst launched near the end of last year, the game has enjoyed a massive amount of success. With new content for the multiplayer releasing on a semi-regular basis and new game modes releasing later this year,Halo Infinitecertainly has a lot to offer its player base. However, there have been ongoing issues with desyncronization during gameplay and a recent clip perfectly highlights said issues.

Desyncing is an issue that can often occur during online multiplayer games. Essentially, a desync is when something that’s happening on a player’s screen looks completely different from what’s happening, or rather what should be happening, in-game. While343 Industries' developers have acknowledged the issues with desyncing inHalo Infinite, numerous desync instances have continued to occur to players. This latest gameplay footage shows the kind of irritation that can arise from a desync.

AReddituser named Simpoge39 posted a brief gameplay clip that shows the player trying to kill another player with a rocket launcher in a multiplayer match. The enemy player takes two hits with the rocket launcher and manages to not only survive, but kill the opposing player. This footage perfectly encapsulates just how bad the desync issues withHalo Infinitehave gotten.

It would be one thing if the opposing player had an overshield attached, but the fact that the player survives not one, but two rocket launcher shots more than proves how much the desync issues negatively affect active gameplay. Thus, it’s important for343 Industriesto address these issues as quickly as possible.

In fairness, issues like this tend to occur with most competitive multiplayer games shortly after launch. There have been numerous instances ofgames that had terrible launches but recovereddue to ongoing patches and hotfixes. Therefore, it’s important forHalofans to be patient, since it’s only been a few months sinceHalo Infinitefirst launched and problems like this tend to take time to fix. For now, all fans can do is continue to share evidence of the issue so that 343 Industries will know to prioritize it.

In any case, it will be interesting to see what the future holds forHalo Infinitegoing forward. There’s still a plethora of new content that has yet to be officially released, such asHalo Infinite’sversion of Forge mode. Since the release ofHalo 3,Forge mode has been an important part ofHaloas a whole and hopefully,Halo Infinitehas a lot to bring to the table in terms of its Forge. Before this mode comes, though, the desync problem will hopefully be solved.
