The Internet has recently been abuzz with rumors thatGod of Warfans can expect aGod of WarPS5 game to be revealed soon, based on speculation from unnamed sources that Sony is planning a fall 2021 release date which will be announced sometime in August. However, Santa Monica Studio’s Game Director Cory Barlog appears to have stomped out these rumors with a dismissive take on social media.

Earlier today, Barlog posted his reaction to, “Looking at some of the news over the last 24 hours” on Twitter: A gif of Devastator from the old-schoolTransformerscartoon laughing before saying “no” to said news. Though the post is vague enough that it could theoretically be in reference to anything, the widespread nature of this recentGod of Warsequel rumor publicized by the YouTube channel Moore’s Law is Dead does not leave a whole lot of room for interpretation.
