With the PlayStation 5’s release on the horizon and this generation close to being wrapped up, renewed interest in the nextGod of Warhas been sparked. PlayStation fans love this series for bringing in quality entertainment every time, so the hype is always going to get higher as the days go by.

Even users of different consoles have expressed interest in having this series on their platforms, but to join the club ofGod of Warfans you’ll firstly need to be a PlayStation fan. For the time being, it’s only this fanbase that will understand these 10 hilarious memes.
10Not A Great Plan
Ever since Thanos made that Snap at the end ofAvengers: Infinity War, there have been endless memes poking fun at that event;God of Warwasn’t exempted from this either. The funny thing is, Kratos actually did get his family snapped in some way.
Their ashes were the ones that he carried on his body, meaning they did get turned into dust. Here, though, Kratos is made to look like a fool as he possessed the Infinity Gauntlet. Rather than dust away his enemies, he ended up making his family disappear yet again.
9The God Killer
We can debate overwhich version of Thor is stronger, but there’s also the question over whether Kratos can contend with other Norse gods. In 2018’sGod of War, he didn’t seem to fare too bad as Kratos was able to kill off Baldur.
With MCU villains relatively weaker than their comic book counterparts, Kratos would actually have a fair shot at defeating Hela. Looks like this is one match-up that PlayStation fans will have to keep fantasizing about. Perhaps a version of Hela could appear in the sequel game?
8Inconsistent Kratos
EveryGod of Warfan out there knows the exasperation that comes with Kratos and his inconsistent in-game powers. The guy can kill gods all the live long day during cutscenes, but within the game he doesn’t seem to want to indulge us in his powers very much.

2018’sGod of Warsaw Kratos once again display some awesome feats despite being much weakened compared to before, and even then he seemed to have a problem fighting Valkyries. Oh well, at least it wasn’t as bad as when he couldn’t open a freakin’ door!
7One Way To Look At It
We’ve discussed before howAtreus needs to step up in his characterizationin the follow-up installment, and one of the things we want to see changed is Kratos’ level of respect for his son. The most recent game had seen him largely be disappointed in his Atreus' abilities.
For this reason, we can’t argue with this fake box cover forGod of War, as one spin on the story could be how we get to play as a dad who couldn’t be more frustrated with his wimpy kid.
Before his character development in the recent game, Kratos was only known for being the angriest guy you’d ever seen in gaming. Basically, all he’d do was have a meltdown andmake some very bad decisions, for which he blamed others.
What’s crazy was that Kratos used to get angrier when he wasn’t killing, which proves he had something of an addiction to taking lives. This made it appropriate that he was the God of War, but we’d still recommend some serious anger management therapy.
5Special Announcement
It wouldn’t be a list aboutGod of Warmemes if we didn’t have at least one “Boy!” picture to go with it. After all, this one word has turned out to be the most popular thing out of this game. Fans will be well are of Kratos’ fascination with this word, as he was heard saying it in pretty much every sentence.
This was also so extreme that Kratos barely ever called Atreus by his actual name and took to referring to him as “boy” almost all the time. It would come pretty handy for a situation as seen in the above picture, though.
4Instant Regret
This picture clearly references the ending ofGod of War III, where Kratos’ dummy head caught up to the fact that his obsession with vengeance had no point when it came at the cost of all existence. As it happened, the climax saw Athena confront Kratos.

It was then that Kratos had a look at all of Greece sunk in chaos, with the skies scorched, the seas flooded, and a plague running rampant. Like Thanos, it was clear that Kratos was kind of a moron for achieving his goals so relentlessly that it did more bad than good.
3No Better Teacher
The same way that theAssassin’s Creedseries has taught players more about history than they ever learned in school,God of Warhas been vital for us to uncover what happened in Greek mythology. However, with there being so many other media and franchises that offer the same, competition sure is fierce.
In a classroom filled with people from different fandoms, there’s always going to be an argument over whose favored series taught them the best. It’s better if you’re a PS fan, since Xbox gamers wouldn’t know half as much without having theGod of Warseries filling them in.
2Every PS Fan’s Response
There’s always going to be a rivalry between the PS and the Xbox fans, as the latter console snagged a bunch of former PS exclusives from the previous generation to leave little to separate between the two. Now it’s up to console exclusives to bring in this distinction.

So, whenGod of Warwas first previewed by Sony, it was seen as the nail in the head for the Xbox One, as the PS4’s dominance was confirmed to last till the end of this generation. And you know what? This meme turned out to be completely right.
1Modern Kratos
There’s no way to understand this meme if you don’t have a PlayStation, as these were the first words uttered by Kratos when the firstGod of Warbegan. Those who are fans will definitely leave out a chuckle as it seems completely appropriate.
This, of course, was when the Red Bull Stratos jump took place, and it’s a pity the man didn’t give a shout out toGod of Warby uttering these very words before he took off. Even better would be if someone were to edit his jump with a voiceover by Gaia as it was seen in the game.
