AGenshin Impactplayer has found an interesting arena without any enemies in the recently added Sumeru region. After Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma, developer HoYoverse finally added a new major region to the world of Teyvat in update 3.0.

Genshin Impact3.1 introduced Teyvat’s first desert to the game which featured a number of much-needed differences when it comes to world design. While a lot of players already maxed out their exploration progress in Sumeru, there still seem to be hidden locations most of them have missed.

Reddit user balloney3 has shared an in-game screenshot showing a mysterious location they’ve found in the new Sumeru desert. Even though developer HoYoverse tries to hide future content, it’s pretty clear that players will be able to fight a boss in this arena. This unique cave is located north-east of a teleport waypoint found in Dar al-Shifa While some replies in the comment section claim that the upcoming Dendro Hypostasis will most likely be placed in this arena, others state that it would not make much sense to put such a large plant-based monster in the middle of the desert. However, considering that the upcoming update will introducethe new Dendro Archon Nahida, HoYoverse needs to add a new boss that can drop the ascension materials for the new character.

The recent livestream event forGenshin Impactupdate 3.2has confirmed that there won’t be any map extensions in the upcoming update which means that the new boss will have to be placed in the existing areas. Even though HoYoverse usually adds new Archons one update after a new major region arrives, they broke their pattern by delaying Nahida’s release by two updates after Sumeru arrived.

As the first five-star Dendro support character,Nahida will probably be a crucial part of most team compositionsthat rely on the new element. Similar to the three previously released Archons, Nahida’s kit will be very flexible thanks to her Elemental Burst which creates a large dome that grants different effects when exposed to Electro, Hydro, or Pyro. Overall, players seem very satisfied with the new Sumeru region which largely improved some of the game’s most important assets like exploration and world design.

Sumeru’s storyline could be reaching its climaxin the next update considering that players will have to fight an enormous new boss to free the Dendro Archon. However, according to the livestream, they will be joined by a small pet-like creature that will do most of the damage, and it seems like all players have to do is avoid enemy attacks.

Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
