A newGenshin Impactleak has revealed the gameplay animations for one of the upcoming characters, the new five-star Dendro user Baizhu. Even though the new Pyro character Dehya arrived just a couple of days ago, the game’s official social media accounts have already revealed two new roster additions for version 3.6.
Baizhu has been one of the most anticipated characters inGenshin Impactsince his first appearance during Liyue’s Archon Quest. He was introduced as the friendly owner of the Bubu Pharmacy and the only character that had a Dendro Vision at the time. This led many players to believe that he would be the first playable Dendro user, but it seems like HoYoverse decided to delay his release since he’s not tied to the Sumeru region.

A new post on the popular Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit shows a video of Baizhu’s combat animations. Players seem to like his overall design as the post reached over 3.7k upvotes with many comments claiming that he’s worthy of being a five-star character. When it comes to his role,Baizhu is expected to be a new supportwith strong healing capabilities. He will also have the potential to dish out a lot of damage which could make him also suitable for the sub-DPS role in certain team compositions. Baizhu’s Elemental Burst will make him create a powerful shield that also does damage whenever it recovers HP.
Baizhu’s Elemental Skill allows him to control a Gossamer Spritethat flies through the air and applies Dendro damage to nearby enemies. After it performs up to three different attacks, the Sprite will return and heal all nearby party members. Similar to most supports inGenshin Impact, Baizhu’s healing power will scale with his max HP. Some players have stated that even though his animations are great, they still would’ve preferred if his snake Changsheng was included more in his kit.
Changsheng is Baizhu’s talking pet who always seems to be wrapped around his neck, and it can even be seen inGenshin Impact’s official announcement. When it comes to his weapon type, Baizhu is confirmed to be a catalyst user which will make him the second Dendro user to have this weapon type after Nahida.
Recent leaks have also revealedmore information about Baizhu’s signature weapon, a five-star catalyst named Jadefall’s Splendor. The weapon’s secondary stat is max HP which makes it the perfect choice for the new Dendro healer.
Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
