Several new Paradise Quests have recently been added toFortnite, and one of them instructs players to search an open dumpster to find the last of The Scientist’s research notes. While this quest can be completed at numerous locations, there is no in-game waypoint for fans to follow. This may leave some players confused about exactly where to find an open dumpster inFortnite, and this guide is here to alleviate that confusion.

Fortnite: Search an Open Dumpster to Find the Last of The Scientist’s Research Notes

Players that are on the hunt for an open dumpster are advised to targetTainted Towers, a named location near the center ofFortnite’s map. Indeed, there are several dumpsters at this popular location, and a few of them have been marked on the map that is below.

Upon locating a dumpster,Fortniteplayersshould approach it and press the input that appears onscreen to “hide.” This will cause the player character to jump into the container, and an object will be expelled from the dumpster during the associated animation. This object is the research notes, and fans should simply emerge from the dumpster and interact with it in order to complete this Paradise Quest.

After searching an open dumpster to find the last of The Scientist’s research notes, players will be told that they must await further instructions. Those instructions will come the next time that a fan starts a match and boardsFortnite’s Battle Bus, and they task players with talking to Agent Jones. To complete this task, players must make a trip to Fort Jonesy in the southeast corner of the map, and the NPC will send them to find the approval code at a Research Lab.

Fortunately, players will receive waypoints that make finding a Research Lab very easy, and the approval codes manifest as a note on the ground. Upon interacting with the note, fans will be instructed to enter the approval code on the Research Lab’s computer, which is situated in the center of the lab. For those players that may be unclear about exactly what they are to enter into this computer, the relevant approval code is written on the walls.

To note, theend ofFortniteChapter 3is now set for Saturday, December 3. This means that players do not have much time left to complete Paradise Quests, and fans that are still trying to unlock items from the seasonal Battle Pass should make sure to get through the challenges detailed in this guide sooner rather than later.

Fortniteis available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
